"The "issue" with such a welcoming home is that you have to chose between staying in the hamoc, or lying in a comfy chair and visiting the external beauties of Sicilia! Lucia's home is a perfect stay for people visiting the area: 25min from the Villa, 45min from the Valle dei templi, many beautiful views of the surrounding nature... "Shabby by the sea was the description used to describe this flat and it was a perfect description really. The outside of the apartments needed a good lick of paint though general upgrade work did seem to have started but the gardens, pool and general area were very well maintained and clean and tidy. "We all had an absolutely wonderful time. Villa Cecilia is everything we hoped for, and more. We loved the design of the house and the garden, inside and out. The pool is lovely and a good size. It was perfect for relaxing. Castlebuono, the nearby town, was really worth a visit, particularly the frescos in the church crypt.
