"We stayed the weekend at Bear Bluff retreat to hike nearby state parks and view the waterfalls. It was perfect! The cabin is exactly as pictured. Everything is new and the amenities are well thought out giving you everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is convenient and the view is spectacular! We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sunsets and peace each evening and a calm cup of coffee each morning. The star gazing is amazing! I haven’t seen that many stars in years....

"Beautiful, peaceful setting. Loved the cabin and all the farm animals. Lots of nice touches throughout the property. We enjoyed a day of relaxing on the lake between hike days. We used the canoe, enjoyed fishing, and had our first experience with kayaking. Also enjoyed a walk around the lake. Loved our two doggie mascots and the ponies. Saw the pig and a cat but only saw the peacocks from a distance. We had lots of laughs with the rooster. He certainly took his job seriously. We highly recommend...

"This is by far the best place we have stayed in. We were there Aug. 18-23 Our family, daughter, son in law and 2 grands met us there to celebrate husband/dad's retirement. The accommodations were top notch. The enclosed porch was a favorite spot. And with a beautiful kitchen so well equipped there was no reason to go out to eat. "

"This was the perfect stay for me and a friend who were visting the surrounding area for the waterfalls. We mainly needed a place to sleep and this little cabin was perfect. The small kitchen had everything we needed and the shower pressure was better than expected. There wasnt much room for "hanging out" but there was a table outside and a fire pit. The host responded quickly and left clear directions. "

"I wish it was more private, but I was aware going into it that it wasn't. But I still felt at peace and undisturbed there. It was fun to drive around and look at all the rich cabins and dream of building my own. I especially enjoyed watching the horses. Just a heads up that the directions say don't go to the lodge. We hunted for another place to enter a gate code since we weren't suppose to go there... But we found this means go in the gate and turn right down the road in front of the lodge...
