Welcome to The Doghouse at FireFly Acres!

At FireFly Acres, we truly love our four-legged guests—and The Doghouse was designed just for them (and you)! This cheerful, pet-friendly cabin is full of adorable dog-themed décor and cozy touches that make both humans and pups feel right at home.

Enjoy grilling on the front porch, then head to the back porch to relax and take in peaceful mountain views while watching horses graze. Deer and turkey are frequent visitors, making wildlife watching part of the everyday experience.

Inside, the cabin features two full-size beds, a private bathroom with shower, and a convenient kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and full-size sink.

Guests are welcome to explore wooded hiking trails on the property, gather at our large outdoor pavilion with a stone fireplace, and enjoy the quiet beauty of FireFly Acres.

A one-time $50 pet fee applies—just add it to your booking and bring your pup along.

Located just 10 miles from the historic town of Sparta and within 30 minutes of five Tennessee State Parks, including stunning Fall Creek Falls State Park!

This was a perfect get-away! So relaxing and calm. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the horses, deer, chickens and dogs run around. We enjoyed watching the sun rise and in the evenings listening to the nocturnal animals. It was exactly what we were looking for to decompress.

Sooo Relaxing!

Firefly Acres is beautiful, and so peaceful. It is away from noise and city lights, but close enough to a couple of small towns if you care to venture out. The cabin was very clean and quaint. We stayed in the Doghouse, which is a small cabin, but we had everything we needed. I especially enjoyed sitting on the back porch. The view is beautiful. We had our dogs with us, and there was plenty of space to walk them. There is an open pavilion with a fireplace and seating. We spent one evening sitting in front of the fire. The wifi there works well.The hosts were so cordial and helpful. They called us to warn us of bad weather as we were driving in, and they helped guide us there since roads were closed and power lines and trees were down. Anytime we had a question, they were quick to respond. If you are traveling in a large vehicle, be prepared that the parking is parallel on the road. This is not a complaint, just an fyi. Also, If you stay in the Doghouse, there was a dorm fridge there. We brought an ice chest with us to hold anything that wouldn't fit in the fridge, and it worked out fine. One thing we really enjoyed while we were there was taking a quick trip to the Lost Creek Natural Area. It's very close to Firefly Acres, and a very easy hike to a beautiful waterfall. We enjoyed our visit at Firefly Acres, so much that we have already made plans to go back in the fall.

Relaxing place to gear up and unwind

The location was perfect, secluded, yet inviting. The deck was a nice and relaxing place to unwind with gorgeous scenery. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen area was a plus. Everything was great, we loved the dog motif! It was easy to get in and out and in a great location as well. We got to spend time with the cows and explore the property grounds. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at the Doghouse with our two dogs! The cabin was in a beautiful setting, and was close to wonderful hikes and waterfalls. CC at Firefly Acres was helpful with food options and local places in the nearby towns. She also provided us with updates about the bad weather that was coming in our last night. Loved it, highly recommend!!

Cute place to stay!

This place was so cute! Perfect for two of us and in good proximity to a lot of good hiking in state parks. Back porch was nice to enjoy in the evenings and mornings. Hosts were spectacular!!

Serene

Serene, idyllic, and pristine. Loved the porch time both morning and evening. Coffee tasted great while enjoying the bucolic scene on into the distant mountains. My first morning I saw a wild turkey while walking the dog. The 2nd evening a deer was in the pasture with the cow. My final morning I saw 2 deer outside my kitchen window as I cleaned up dishes. Then 2 more, same ones (?) down by the pond as I walked my dog. The bed was comfy. Adequate kitchen amenities and the gas grill was a bonus for me! Thank you, Cece and Tim.

Cozy and peaceful

Had a wonderful time staying in the Doghouse! My husband and I (and our pup Bandit) just needed a little fall getaway weekend. The cabin and farm was perfect! Everything was clean, functioning, and just what we needed. The balcony and view of the farm and horses was such a nice way to start our mornings. We explored Fall Creek Falls, Burgess Falls, and Rock Island. Also managed to visit a local brewery and winery. Definitely plan to be back for another fall adventure. Thanks for sharing your farm with us!

At night time we had an issue w/ the refrigerator working and they responded immediately to fix the issue, literally 10pm. We appreciated this. Definitely recommend staying here. Great people, great location.

Amazing Property

We had an amazing time Firefly Acres. The "Doghouse" was the perfect size for us and our dogs. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The property is beautiful and secluded. We enjoyed the trials and loved sitting on the porch enjoying the fresh air and views. There are a lot of things do within 30 or so minutes of the property as well. We had no issues during our stay. Check in and out was easy and the property manager was very easy to reach if needed. We can't wait to come back, thank you for sharing your property with us.

Fantastic stay!

We really loved this cabin, it was tucked away from everything and quiet. Property was beautiful, and our dog was thoroughly amused seeing the horses. Amenities in the property were great and property host was always available when needed. Can’t wait to book another trip there!
