"We stayed at the Shelby Inn overnight Easter Sunday night, after a day of fishing at the lake spillway. The Inn looks to be a mansion in pictures, but it is also what might have been an upgraded 1950s single floor motor lodge, as well as a two story lodging building next door. Our king room was in the 2 story building, on the top floor. On the day of our arrival, we got the assigned room number and an access code for the door. "They are updating the rooms which were ok.Smelled like smoke and the bedding wasn't the best.Breakfast wasn't much.Probably won't stay there again but if all you need is a place to sleep its fine"

"So this is a very budget hotel, very tired and old, room has new wood laminate floor but aside tub floor dirty, everything scuffed, furniture and bedding had unpleasant oder, poor breakfast, fridge did not work/cool, bed too hard for me. Pool is being remodeled. If you want very basic this is ok. It was just to hit my head at nite before heading on."
