"Great stay to be so close to the lake. Provided plenty of lake accessories so you would need to pack minimal equipment. The pictures are a little deceiving as you are on top of a steep hill with Route 39 (which is busy) between the house and dock. We brought our dogs who are well behaved and stay pretty close. I would be concerned if my dog did not have good recall or young children. However, being situated on top of the hill provides a nice view! "

"We enjoyed our stay overall. The host was always responsive. The apartment definitely has a weird layout but was comfortable. The beds and linens were nice. My only complaint was the pool. I felt it could have been kept up a little better as it is listed as an amenity and the traffic was intense on the road by the house. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. "

"This was our family's first time to Candlewood Lake/Squantz Pond. The area is picturesque and the location of this property is perfect. The porch off of the living area directly overlooks Squantz Pond and mountains. The basement was ideal for teenagers with a projector screen, air hockey/pool, and exercise equipment. "July 17-July 20th 2025The property was wonderful. The room was as described, clean, stocked and welcoming. The host communication was amazing and accommodating when I was late arriving also concerned which was so sweet! Everything was picture perfect, comfortable, quiet and secure. I slept amazingly well to have been away from your familiarity. I would stay again and again if the opportunity presents itself! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful space with me!! "
