Disappointed!!
It was not clearly advertised as having to climb at least 35 stairs until i got the email on the day of leaving for my holiday. being a severe asthmatic and having broken my ankle in February this year i struggled to get upstairs and needed numerous puffs of inhaler. I decided to wash my hands and face and have a wash but there was no plug or chain to be seen at all to hold the water into the basin. The shower door did not open totally along so i could not get into the shower at all. overall I was very disappointed with my trip. The bed was very comfortable.

NO BREAKFAST AS COMMON WITH OTHERS. 6. ON THE SECOND FLOOR ON STREET SIDE WITH ALL TRAFFIC NOISE. 7. NO A/C AND HOT DAY/NIGHT...HAD NOISY FLOOR FAN THOUGH. 8. 11 AM CHECK OUT VERSUS 12PM FOR OTHERS. 9. 2 HANGERS. 10. MINI MINI TV. 11. NO CHAIRS. 12 AS UNATTENDED. NO HELP GETTING TAXI AND AS ABOVE A BAR VERY NOISY...IE DO NOT STAY HERE. GO YO THE IBIS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR LESS, UNLESS YOU ENJOY NAILING YOUR FOOT TO THE FLOOR OR STAPLING YOUR EYES SHUT...DO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ( WE HAVE BEEN TO 199 COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES AND ARE WELL TRAVELED, SO WE KNOW OF WHAT WE SPEAK)

Varmt og snørklet hotel
Meget snørklet hotel, der er en ganske god overnatningsmulighed for en enkelt nat. Vi besøgte hotellet under hedebølgen i England og DET var varmt. Der er ingen aircon, men en bordventilator, der til gengæld ikke virkede!

room was small and cramped. bed was very uncomfortable. Road noise was constant even the noise of the fan couldn't drown it out . Very hot and claustrophobic

Tiny room like a prison cell, no view apart from a white painted wall. Did not receive a email about the code to access the property frustrating delay after a long day traveling. No fridge, overall very poor experience. Thankfully only 1 night

My check-in is anything but smooth and straightforward. They send me instructions on how to check in a day before. However, they changed it on a short notice (the day of my check-in) without informing me! They sent about 9:00am on the day but not everyone is checking their emails on a holiday! Upon checking in, my room smells like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes and I did not have any choice but to move as I do not tolerate third-hand smoke. Sadly, I cannot say kind words to describe my stay. Please improve your service. Would prefer at least one staff to be present to ensure smooth check in because the last thing you want in your holiday is to mind these nitty-gritty stressful bits.

Pretty on the outside but not on the inside.
A really disappointing stay, all the reviews seemed middle of the line so I was expecting just a basic hotel room. Firstly, there isn't a reception, everything is key coded to access. My room was spacious but the furniture was low quality, like the wardrobe it moved if you touched it. But my biggest problem was the noise from the street and the roof. There was constant rattling in the room which made it completely uncomfortable to sleep in. Not to mention the quality of the bed, you could feel the mattress springs and the duvet was poor quality so you spent more time sweating to death than sleeping. Really, really disappointing, I wouldn't stay here again.

Good Night’s Rest- Not Here
We had to walk up flights of winding stairs to our room. The bed was extremely soft and we could feel the springs. When my husband and I saw the ear plugs we knew it would be noisy. After a 7 hour flight we were hoping for a good night’s sleep. Some improvements are necessary.

Worst Ever
Would definitely give this a swerve, Had to move room after night 1 due to window not shutting was like sleeping on the pavement. Was told I'd get a £40 refund never happened. Entry door wasn't working correctly kept reporting they kept trying to say it was me, however got videos of it not working and next day they said it was now not working. Never anyone to contact if any issues myself and another couple where left outside trying to gain access for a while on arrival, rang number left a voicemail never replied, restaurant owner next door even tried said he knew the owners he even said it's broke, this happened the next night also this is when I took the video after 15 minutes I finally got in. They now apparently got the same booking off me twice so have charged me twice but won't refund even though they know it's an error by the booking agent. Worst Ever

Very bad experience
The code they gave me did not unlock the front door. I rang the number but no one picked up. I left a voice mail and no one rang me back. I managed to chat to someone online through hotels.com messages who said I could have a refund but they haven't even done that and I was left with no where to stay!

Die Unterkunft liegt, abgesehen vom Strassenlärm perfekt für Ausflüge. Das Bett ist leider nicht bequem. Der Wasserkocher muss dringend ersetzt werden,ist sehr schmutzig.

The location is brilliant for Southampton in a great area for restaurants and close to the harbour. However, if you have a lot of luggage there are a lot of stairs and a maze to find the room. I felt like I walked around the whole hotel to get to number 11. The room was clean, tea and coffee facilities in the room, however if you like milk and sugar, bring extra as the hotel is not manned. There is no front desk to ask for more. #11 curtains do not fit, and let in the daylight, i normally do not wake at 6.20am but I did both mornings by default, it was so bright. There is road noise, but they leave ear plugs for that..lol The two guys in the room next to me where having an issue with their booking and for an hour and a half I heard them arguing with an extremely polite lady from the travel company, who was trying to fix it for them. I can pretty much tell you word for word, till I put my headsets on to watch a movie and block them out, so much for an early night. If you are going on a cruise, do not book here. No place to store your luggage and the stairs are small. It was an ok stay. I come in to visit my 90 year old mum, often. Can say I will book there again unless I have to, really glad I had split my reservation in two as the next two nights at another location have been amazing and I am rested. Lol I even slept in. Today…lol

Very happy with room, breakfast was not worth the money. Happy with the staff, easy check in. Not happy with the bar downstairs, drinks kept being messed up.

I booked the wrong day for an employee by mistake, called in advance to change the day for the following week, and they said no, booking is final. If there are rooms available, why not honor the change. We were not asking for a refund, simply to change the day of the booking. Terrible service.
