"My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting Williamsport to support our dad as he underwent major surgery and recovery. I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint! It feels like a home, which was exactly what we hoped for and needed - a place to relax in between hospital visits, and place to rest comfortably and make dinner. "This was a wonderful cabin - very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture throughout. Nice fire ring with plenty of chairs. Great location, pretty little stream on the property and very close to rail trail. We also loved finding the little painted rocks everywhere. "

"The house had everything we needed and more. It is located near Reptiland, the Hiawatha Riverboat, Pine Creek Gorge, and other family friendly attractions. There were plenty of places to eat out. The ice cream shop around the corner was a favorite stop. The kids loved the arcade but the real treasure was the scenic creek just steps away. It was the perfect location for kayaking and fishing with newbies."

"We stayed in a cabin so my comments only apply to our experience there., The property is very pretty, there is a pond or two, a shuffleboard course, a mini golf course and a playground or two. There was a pool but it was closed when we were there (late Sept). The two small issues that I would bring up are 1) the showers seem to be either completely hot or cold but nothing in between and 2) mattresses in the cabins are a bit stiff. Not a problem for us but it may be for others. "
