"Staff is top notch. The location is phenomenal and cozy. Parking at the hotel was easy and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious. This might become my new go-to Chicago hotel. The room is spacious and so well appointed. There’s a cute record player and two records to play. Honestly it’s giving Blackness and Black Excellence and it’s everything I hoped for in a Hyde Park hotel. "

"This is my go to hotel when in Chicago. It is located in the Hyde Park area and I have stayed at this hotel 4 times and will not stay anywhere else. The staff are amazing, the location works for me and there is plenty of restaurants as well as a movie theatre across the street as well as coffee shops and breakfast in the hotel. There is also a very well known cafeteria around the corner with great prices. Very clean and staff is very helpful and nice. Love this hotel."

We had a lot of fun touring the space and jumping between rooms and floors. The walk to rainbow beach was easy to follow. Host is very clear and consistent with communication. "Our host was so kind and very reasonable! The listing makes it sound quite strict, but I will say if you are a traveler who respects the spaces you stay in they are not strict at all! Basic human decency is all they ask so if you can't do that maybe not the place for you, but if you can do that this is a fabulous place to stay!
