"Overlook the beach? Lol I did not expect that view because we didn't pay for it. But I didnt expect to be literally on the roof behind the big hotel pagoda. No view whatsoever. And on our last night there, there was a fire downstairs in an office! The whole hotel was evacuated. Multiple cops and fire engines. Kinda scary. Nah, I won't return there. "

"I recently stayed at Ramada in South Padre Island, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The hotel was very noisy, which made it hard to relax or get a good night’s sleep. The room itself felt neglected — there were no basic toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, or even soap provided, which was quite surprising. The furniture is clearly outdated, and several items were worn out or broken, giving the space an overall run-down feel. Breakfast was another letdown. The options were...

"Perfect location, older building- but the hotel had a two bedroom suite, reasonably priced and it fit our needs! There is a hot tub, smaller wading pool, and small (8ft deep) pool in back of hotel. Located right next to two public beach accesses, and also has its own sand walkway through dunes to the beach. Great stay for price! "

Shower head outside hotel (for rinsing out) was broken, but staff member was kind enough to bring out a hose and help guests rinse out. Breakfast selection felt limited. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable enough but some of the sheets had old stains and needed replacing. "
