Situated on 3 Mile Pond in Mid-Coast Maine it is conveniently located minutes from Augusta or Waterville, 30 minutes east to the coast(Belfast), 45 minutes to Camden/Rockland area or south to Portland. Bangor is a 1 hour drive as well as Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
This home features 2 - 1st floor bedrooms with queen beds and a 2nd floor bunk room with a queen bed. There is also a queen pull-out sofa in the downstairs hang out room plus 2 twin sized Aero beds which could easily be set up for small children in the oversized 2nd floor bunk room.
The full bath features a shower/jetted tub combo. The half bath also houses the stackable washer/dryer unit.
Step down into the kitchen/living area where there are all modern stainless appliances including a gas stove, built in microwave, double door fridge, dishwasher, ample pots, pans, utensils, tableware, etc. The owner is a chef so this is a chef's kitchen!! Also provide are a toaster, drip AND Keurig coffee makers and a large array of spices and kitchen staples to get you started cooking.
The living room open to the kitchen is furnished with a gas fireplace and a big screen TV with surround sound, DVD and satellite reception(DISH). There is also a flat screen TV in one of the 1st floor bedrooms as well as a flat screen TV/DVD/VCR in the 2nd floor bunk room. Wifi is also provided.
Sliding glass doors off of the eat in kitchen provide an expansive view of the lake as well as lead to a large full-sized deck with deck furniture, gas grill and access to the back yard.
The downstairs hang out room leads to the walk-out basement and has plenty of room for games and jigsaw puzzles(provided) as well as a small drink/beer fridge.
3 Mile Pond is a 1,174 acre lake allowing motorcraft(public boat landing is 5 minutes away). While bass fishermen may be around it is mainly a very quiet lake. Kayaks and canoes are the norm and a single kayak, double canoe and pedal boat are provided with the home as well as life vests.
The Fieldstone convenience store is located 5 minutes away for gas, ice, Dunkin Donuts and great pizzas made in house. Hanaford grocery store is 10 minutes away in the village of South China along with the Post Office, Family Dollar and Back's Ice Cream Parlor.
Relax on the deck and listen to the loons, watch for Bald Eagles and Blue Herons or the ducks that return every year to raise their young. Paddle, pedal, swim or fish the lake. Cook out on the deck or take short day trips to discover the many things Mid-Coast Maine has to offer.
