It was the perfect respite for our stay before our puffin tour the next day and close to town for a concert on the common and restaurants. Note : to access one of the bedrooms you need to go through the bathroom, but it worked out fine. "The property was as advertised. Though we only stayed one night, we enjoyed the peaceful evening and morning, and enjoyed taking the kayak/paddle board out on the lake.House was very clean and the owner was very responsive to our questions both before booking and during our stay."

"Check in was easy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked down to a lobster pot to our delight.The setting is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the two level deck. There is a bit of a hike to get to the river. All and all a very peaceful relaxing location. We had 9 adults and 4 children and were very comfortable."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Love the cabin, location and water view. Very clean and it had good vibes. Would stay there again."

"This was my 3rd or 4th stay here, and my favorite spot in all of Maine. Even on a rainy or snowy day, it’s gorgeous. This is an older home with lots of charm, the most breathtaking views of the harbor, and everything you could need to enjoy time here indoors or out. I almost hate to add photos, as it will drive demand for this spot even higher. It’s just a stunningly beautiful space and it’s very hard to leave!"

"Lovely home and perfect location"

"We have stayed lots of places in midcoast Maine and this was our favorite! It is such a peaceful part of the lake - the stars at night were unbelievable, as was the chorus of loons! We really loving taking the kayaks out. The house is super cute and with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, and some amenities you don't always find in similar places - we particularly appreciated the well water and washer dryer!
