We have been visiting St Regis for years and this year instead of an inviting welcome, we were greeted without a return call from St Regis (after many calls requesting a code for late arrival), and a condo from the twilight zone. I’m still trying to figure out how this condo is permitted to be rented to the public. Below includes a list of specific items in non-working condition, or broken at arrival, first 10-12hrs of arrival:
Kitchen:
Fridge and freezer has broken and/or missing shelves, making it extremely difficult to store food.
Dishwasher - works 25% of the time
Stove - only 75% of the burners are in working condition and of those working, burners do not get “high heat.” This is making it meal time extremely difficult.
Coffee pot; broken
Kitchen cabinets; broken with visible water damage
Other:
Doors - either do not open, or close (bathroom and bedroom). In an event of an emergency, how is a child to open a door?
Blinds have missing/broken pieces. Light comes through 24/7 which does not allow for any privacy or comfort.
Closet doors in both bedrooms; broken
Washer; works 50% of the time for a wash cycle
Master bathroom; vanity broken
Master bedroom; bed frame broken and sinks in middle. King size pillows on a queens size bed.
Outlets; not all in working condition.
The list of items above not only include safety hazards, they include items listed in the St Regis Condo 3111 Seashore Reality as available items expected to work with this condo. As a renter, there are expectations of all items working and safely available for a renter/family. This unit is unclean, unsafe, and would not meet any quality standards as per an inspection.
Seashore Reality response: I was provided a new coffee pot, and they would communicate to owner my concerns.
Clearly this condo has not had attention in years/decades, therefore should not have been rented to the public.
