"The first night, we killed one large cockroach in the bathroom, and thought that was the only one. Just before bed, a large roach started crawling down the wall from the loft area. We called the front desk to ask for a room change. As we waited for them to answer, 3 more large roaches crawled out from behind the curtains. The person working the front desk said that there were no other rooms, and asked if we would like maintenance to spray pesticides. I declined, as I didn't want to breath it...

Very good location, in walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The feel of the town's Bavarian theme is absolutely charming, and The Helendorf certainly captures that very well. Well maintained, plenty of parking, and very comfortable. A great value as well."

"My husband and I reserved cabin 21 for 2 nights. It was our anniversary and we wanted to get away for a short time. I found Sylvan lodge and fell in love with the property. We arrived late afternoon, the staff there was helpful and pleasant. We opened the door to our cabin and was hit with a strong odor of mold. "They put me in a handicap room and I am not handicap, they said this was the only room available, and I had booked months in advance. The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off. The toilet had not been cleaned or flushed when I arrived. When I woke in the morning and went into the bathroom a bug was crawling on the floor. The room smelled like mold."

"O hotel é muito confortável, limpo e bem cuidado. Fomos bem atendidos, mas pensei que a piscina fosse mais quente e que tivesse uma sauna. Na verdade a área da piscina é termicamente controlada, o que não necessáriamente faz do lugar o mais desejável possível. Aluguei esse hotel por causa da área de lazer. Entrei e fiquei 10 minutos na piscina. Nada demais. Fora isso o hotel é muito confortável, limpo e tem um café da manhã razoável."

"The air was turned off during the day while to men that were there for a job were hot and tired and just wanted a cool place to relax. I don't believe that a place should turn off air conditioning during the hottest month of the summer anyway. Especially in central FL. The breakfast was a microwave biscuit and was as hard as a rock. We won't be using this location again."
