Welcome to our family holiday home.

Our charming, secluded cottage can comfortably sleep up to 8-9 people (incl. 1 on the sofa) with 3 bedrooms plus a loft bedroom.

A hot tub with jets is perfect for watching the northern lights.

1 hour drive from Reykjavik
20 minutes from Borgarnes.

An ideal base for day trips to the south and west of Iceland.

Enjoy beautiful Icelandic nature, in the idyllic Skorradalur valley, nestled between an 18km long lake, mountains, birch trees, brooks and more.

The house features a private, outdoor heated jacuzzi in a peaceful, secluded setting. Jets provide a soothing massage—perfect for unwinding after a long day. Sip your favorite drink as you soak under the open sky, and if you're lucky, let the magic of the northern lights complete the experience.

Enjoy many walking paths with breathtaking mountain and lake views, as well as small waterfalls.
A small playground with beautiful views is just a short walk away, perfect for young children.

There are also several small hiking trails take you along a stream with stunning scenery.

The house is perfectly situated for day trips to many of Iceland's natural attractions in the south, including Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geyser, Glymur, Hvammsvík, as well as attractions in the west, including, Snæfellsnes, Hraunfossar, Krauma, Húsafell, and more.

Well-equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Enjoy mountain views and partial lake views, depending on the amount of foliage on the trees.

The nearby town of Borgarnes (a 20 minute drive) has gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, museums and a fantastic swimming pool with a lap pool, 3 water slides, hot tubs, cold pot, sauna and steam room.

Bedroom 1: Sleeps 2 in a 140x200cm bed.

Bedroom 2: Sleeps 2 in 2 90x200cm beds.

Bedroom 3: Sleeps 1 in a 90x200cm bed.

Loft space: Sleeps 3 in 3 beds, 2 are 90x200cm and 1 is 80x200cm.

A crib and high chair for small children is available upon request.

If you are 9 guests, send me a message. One person will sleep on the sleeper sofa in the living room.

Our cottage is perfect for families. Designed with two separate living spaces connected by a hallway, it has a space for socializing, while the bedrooms are separated, so those wishing to, can go to sleep in peace and quiet on the other side of the house. It's great for a stress-free getaway!

Disconnect and unwind—there is NO WiFi at the cottage, though the mobile network coverage is very good. If you're visiting Iceland without a solid data plan, we recommend renting a pocket WiFi from Trawire(dot)com. It keeps multiple devices connected wherever you go—even while driving through the countryside—so you can stay online when needed while still embracing the remote, peaceful charm of your stay.

When you arrive, you may have to turn on the heat and hot water, instructions provided. It can take 2-4 hours for the house to heat up. Slippers are available, if needed. The floors can be cold.
