From the host village of Embsay, you can hop on a stream train for a 3.5-mile ride to Bolton Abbey, drive out to Malham Cove (14 miles) with its incredible waterfall, or discover the charming villages of Grassington, Kettlewell and Burnsall (all within 15 miles).

Through the entrance hall you’ll enter the lounge, with its atmospheric dark walls, wooden floor and stone fireplace with an inset wood burner. This is a cosy room where you can lounge to your heart’s content, perhaps with a book or streaming a show on the Smart TV. From the window you can also watch the jackdaws roosting in the chimney across the road – giving the property its name. The dining room is another stylish space, designed for leisurely mealtimes discussing your day’s adventures, leading to the well-appointed kitchen where the cook will find everything necessary for prepping delicious meals, including a microwave and a dishwasher.
