Lovely place for the family to stay. This unique place is quiet and safe. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Hiawatha Trail, Wallace, or any surrounding areas.

This property is a large historical building that’s still being renovated by an extremely friendly and accommodating family. It is a really cool place to wander through and learn more about. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent!

Delightful people & place... Highly recommend.

I am so glad that we found Silverton Mountain Manor... it was a delightful place to stay. Gerald and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts, the room was great, breakfast is the best we've ever had at an overnight stay. Everything was simply delightful. We'll make our way back for another stay as soon as we can!

This place is a work of art in the making. The hotel has a rich historical significance and our stay was an elegant experience in a quiet mountain area, but an easy access to Wallace, Kellogg and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The building is in the process of being restored, so it is important to have this in mind, but our one night stay was pleasant and the buffet breakfast is home cooked and lovely.

I had an excellent stay at Silverton Mountain Manor. The best part of my stay was getting to sit out on the front porch by a table top fireplace. They even brought out items to make for s’mores. It’s a quick drive over to the cool little mountain town of Wallace as well. The room was very comfortable. I only spent one night since I was on a road trip headed east.

Our stay at the Silverton Mountain manor was the most unique one of our trip. The history of the property and the story of how the Allison family came to own and renovate the residence was so interesting. Although it is still a work in progress, the renovations are so tasteful and well done. Elizabeth and Gerald were wonderful hosts. Keep an eye on this place!

Great stay!

Fun place to stay. Hosts were awesome. The room was beautiful and clean. Lots of little extras. A little surprise that we had shared bathroom and shower. A little hiccup with internet but we were in the mountains and it was not a big deal because we used our phones. If you want a little different hotel experience with fun history, beautiful accommodations, excellent breakfast, and great hosts then you should try the Silverton Mountain Manor.

The property was beautiful even under construction, the rooms were of a quality I have never had. I want to live in the bath robe and the complimentary breakfast was the best food I've ever eaten and it was free. The owners and their kids were so sweet but not overly in your life. It was our perfect stay. We come to Wallace at least once a season its our magical town, this is our new place to stay even 2 miles away it made it so much more special. We loved it so much we turned our one night into 2 when we didn't want to check out 30 minutes before it was time.

Very cool place!

This is an amazing place, and very unique. The owner and his family are continuing their renovation of this historic property and the bedrooms are amazingly nice. The bathrooms are not as amazing, but are good (shared). The remainder of the facility is in various stages of renovation, which we found very interesting, and the owner was able to show us the work being done and also what is planned. The included breakfast is, without a doubt, the best breakfast EVER! Order off of a menu, with great service. We'll definitely recommend to friends!

I spoke with the owner/operator and he was so nice to me. At breakfast, which he cooked for me and his family, see I was the only guest that night, he explained how he had been remodeling the old building all by himself. I'm a carpenter by trade and I must say he's took on a huge challenge but I think well worth it. The room and wing I stayed in were done and they looked good. The cable was out but I used my phone to listen to the Mariners game on my MLB App so no big deal. I'd recommend anyone stay here that's interested in something other a typical hotel.

Great Boutique Hotel

This boutique hotel was fantastic. The owners are in the process of renovating this old building, and they graciously share it's history with the guests. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. I had a room without a bathroom and the shared showers and bathrooms worked well. The dinning room is beautiful with great food and wine. Breakfast was included and was a full breakfast menu. My dog and I stayed for 2 peaceful nights. We only had to walk a few blocks to hike on the Trail of the Coeurd'Alenes. The hotel is only 5 minutes by car from the historic town of Wallace. I enjoyed lunch, along with one of the breweries and wandering through the shops while I was there. The hotel is also in-between 2 ski areas I like-Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass Ski Area. There is something for everyone to do in the Silver Valley and the Silverton Mountain Mansion is a great addition. I will be back to stay and dine again.

Unique, historic hotel with some growing pains

This hotel is a work in progress by a very enthusiastic couple. There were 5 finished rooms at the time of our stay. They are virtually new and very clean. More are coming on line in future months. The building is unique, historic and intriguing. Because it is old, there are some limitations at present. There are shared bath and shower rooms for the corridor. The institutional doors clunk and reverberate down the hall as people get up in the middle of the night to visit the toilet. The head of our bed was right next to the flushing mechanism in the adjacent toilet room. The flushing was quite loud. If you are a heavy sleeper it probably won't bother you. The bed is new and very comfortable. There is no air conditioning. With the cool evening and an open window, we were comfortable. Hotter might have been less so. The breakfast was very nice. Our hosts would do anything possible to make us comfortable. I would return, but request a room with a toilet if possible, or at least one further from the bathroom. The price is reasonable and will no doubt climb as improvements continue.
