"Property was large and very clean and gave us the option to freshen up the room as many days as we wanted.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered snack times and cocktail times in the evening. Breakfast was good. They cooked fresh scrambled eggs and potatoes as well as biscuits and gravy among other things. Parking was plenty and free. We’d definitely stay here again."

"Our room's toilet had issues flushing & the front desk staff came to look 3 times but couldn't fix it long term. The staff mentioned giving us a discount for this issue.
At checkout next morning, we asked another front desk staff about this discount for the toilet issue. Since we booked through Expedia, they couldn't give $ discount/refund, but they could give us points. We got 1500 points for the malfunctioning toilet issue which translates to about $8. What a joke.

"I didn’t like the carpets in the bedroom at all. They were “yucky,” as my daughter would say 😂. They definitely looked old and worn out. I understand that this is a historic hotel, but the carpet just didn’t feel comfortable to walk on with your bare feet without thinking about past spills or incidents.
The room also had a smell. Not necessarily a dirty smell, but more like that old, closed-in air smell. You do get used to it after being in the room for a while, but personally, I would not...
