  • Gardners Cottage is a welcoming Cotswold holiday home, situated in the beautiful village of Ilmington, which sleeps eight guests, in four well-appointed bedrooms, with four bathrooms. Tastefully and sympathetically decorated after a two year restoration, this enchanting cottage is a splendid example of country living. There is a cosy snug, log burner, plenty of seating in the living room and a light and airy open plan kitchen/diner, making this a wonderful, sociable abode to enjoy with family and friends. The garden is equally alluring; south-facing with a charming water feature, large lawn and outdoor dining area, perfect for those summer evenings. With a dog bath in the garden as well, be sure to bring your four-legged friend on holiday too!

    This four bedroom holiday cottage in Ilmington is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    The Finer Details...
    The maximum occupancy for this property is 8 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)
    Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)
    Please note that the bed configurations are fixed and cannot be converted into twin beds
    Off street parking is available for up to 4 cars
    Electric charging point available on request, with additional charge of £35 per car per use
    Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them
    2 medium sized dogs are welcome for an additional £40 per booking per dog. For pet rules, please visit our FAQs

    This is a period property with character features including low beams and sloped ceilings
    Children and dogs must be supervised at all times, especially in the garden where there is a waterfall feature, and in the upstairs master suite where deep windowsills could present a climbing risk
    The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
    No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

    Things to Note...
    Please note that Gardners Cottage is best suited to peaceful, family-style stays. Please take consideration whilst booking as the property is not appropriate for parties, hen or stag groups, or events of any kind
    Either a Security Deposit or payment of an Accidental Damage Waiver is required at this property
    Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
    The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
    Children are welcome at Gardners Cottage, however, due to the rural setting and in consideration of the neighbouring properties, we kindly ask that noise is kept to a minimum and that outside games, including ball games, do not harm the carefully tendered flower beds (there are playing fields nearby in the village)

A pre Christmas break

We had a brilliant stay at Gardners cottage. It was very comfortable throughout and had a very well equipped kitchen. A very welcoming environment. The village is very pretty with Two good pubs and a very handy village shop and coffee shop. We will definitely return!

Blissful retreat

What a beautiful cottage! This was a perfect place for our family holiday. Comfortable and welcoming cottage with great amenities set in a picturesque village. South facing garden meant we could use the gas BBQ and ample patio seating for a family of 7. Would definitely recommend!

Gardeners cottage is beautiful and is of a very high standard. We have a wonderful family weekend there and our grandsons loved the garden and meeting the owner and his dog. We hope to return to this wonderful place in a quiet village with superb amenities.

A memorable stay

We are a group of 3 retired couples and a single lady ( plus a senior labrador)who 6/7 times a year take short breaks around the UK. Gardners Cottage is quite simply outstanding in all areas. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, comfortable and a pure delight! The village is picturesque, extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. Very good places to eat and a wonderful community shop and cafe. We will return.

As a group of friends we were delighted with the cottage and location. Two pubs/restaurants within a short stroll were charming with good food. Beautiful dog friendly garden with comfortable seating/dining options. The Community shop was incredible with everything you need and more. This is a real gem.

Simply an amazing property.

This cottage is something else, wonderfully finished and perfect for a couples weekend or with the family. Large inside and a great outdoor area. The village is equally as good. Simply perfect.

Wonderful stay in The Cotswolds

Very nice house in a lovely Cotswolds Village, with a great community shop and 2 pubs. The house was well furnished and the kitchen very well equipped for catering. There was a good amount of space for us all to relax and a very efficient log burner in the main lounge. The house was warm and there was lots of hot water. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have plenty of bathrooms. We did a couple of local walks straight from the house. One to the village of Ebrington which has a great pub and well worth a visit. Can highly recommend.

4 night family break at Gardners Cottage

Beautifully renovated cottage in an ideal location. Bedrooms all very comfortable and the kitchen was a perfect social space for our family reunion. The village shop and cafe just a short walk away are well worth a visit. Highly recommended - hope to book again in the future.

Cotswolds Dream

Gardners cottage is just adorable. We rocked up in the dark so couldn’t really see the surroundings but oh my days when we awoke it’s just stunning. Living areas are perfect for a group of 8. Everyone had their own bathroom (which is a must have) the beds are soooooooo comfy. The village has everything you need & lots of gorgeous walks from the doorstep. Jeremy & Oli are so welcoming & their communication is excellent. We all agreed we will definitely be returning to Gardners Cottage
