Rustic Creekside Cabin

Our creekside log cabin is perfect for those with rustic sensibilities. Its charm is in its simplicity, featuring peaceful, picturesque views from the private front porch and an outdoor fire ring. Fall asleep in the queen-size comfort bed to the relaxing sounds of Clara Creek just outside your window. Coming with more than two guests? Tent sites are available upon request.

Your time spent at our one-room cabin will be a true country adventure. When we say rustic, we mean it! There's no running water or electricity, but we do provide a clean port-a-john and a creek steps away from the front porch for washing up in. Or you can bring a solar shower and fill it at our Gasthaus Lodge.
We also provide a quiet generator for lights, charging phones, hot plate, etc., as well as potable water for cooking and washing. Inquire to discuss options!

--The "1 bathroom" listed is a port-a-john. There is not an actual bathroom.
--The is an additional fee for campfire wood, based on how much you use.

Quiet, Restful and Relaxing

We loved this place. For being rustic, everything was well thought of to make this a relaxing and refreshing experience. When leaving, we felt a bittersweet feeling. We enjoyed the wildlife and taking walks. A lovely area! The one thing it needed...cows on the hillside with bells around their necks! As I said in the beginning, we LOVED this place!

Peaceful cabin

My wife and I stayed in the cabin to see the stars, hike, and enjoy unplugging for a few days this fall. We really enjoyed our time, and the Franklin stove provided plenty of heat to keep us warm as temps dropped in the evening.

Become one with nature

Quaint Creekside Cabin is the perfect getaway for you to reconnect with the outdoors and enjoy the beauty of Potter County. Not secluded yet private and also a pond only a minutes walk from the front porch so bring your fishing poles. The cabin is more beautiful than the pictures could ever show and although thereā€™s a porta-John it is very sanitary. Definitely going back , possibly a winter trip.

Pretty cabin, very clean, great managers!

Very quiet area in the woods, has Franklin stove, picnic table and clean port-a-potty. We accidentally took home two of their pillows because my husband sleeps with a lot of pillows and their pillow cases are brown like ours. They were going to charge us for them but I asked if we could ship them and they were kind enough to agree with that.

This was exactly what we were hoping it was, perfect! When we got there the cabin was nice and warm waiting for us. Everything was really clean and just like the pictures. The lanterns they provided were really bright! View from the deck was beautiful with the stream a few feet away. It was raining when we got there but ended up having a fire outside and in and it was great! Thank you so much!

Great place to disconnect and recharge!

Drove from CT stay here on our way to catch the solar eclipse and it was totally worth it! Very serene location and lots of nature to explore. The cabin itself is so beautiful and i appreciated all the craftsmanship ship. Host greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Which we did! Great amenities, and realized I couldā€™ve packed a couple less items (essentials).

Our 2nd stay

Finally made it back after 2 years and Steve has made some wonderful changes around the cabin. Loved the fountain in the pond. Just as our last stay we had everything we needed for a very relaxing weekend away. Hopefully our next stay Steve will pop in for a little conversation as that was a highlight of our last stay but didnā€™t get to see Steve this go around. Thank you for a lovely weekend!!

Peace and Serenity

My husband and I stayed for 4 days over the 4th of July. This place was beautiful,from the cabin to the outdoors! Wee had a fire every night!The people came around to see if we needed anything every day. They even invited us to their show of fireworks.I would highly recommend this place if you wanna get away from this fast life and just be still. Shoot, even our puppy and his brother loved it! They had fun playing in the creek and just being off a leash! Beautiful place owned by a great wholesome family.We are definitely coming back!

Nice challange

So what a beautiful place. To start off i brought my portable grill because there was no electric. No biggie i knew this and i thought i was prepared. Well my smoker decided it didnt want to work. Ok once again no big deal we look on the porch and there was a propane grill. So go to fire it up and well its out of propane. Ok no we are kinda in a mess i bought me and my wife ribeye steaks to cook tonight and its not looking good. So we go to make a fire and there was suposed to be wood under the porch. There wasnt any. So we go through the woods and colect tons of sticks and we get a fire going. And inside the cabin my wife finds a tripod for over the fire. Perfect. Set it up and made my wife her steak over the fire, which came out amazing. So this whole experience could have been bad since everything was in order as it was said to be. But for us it was an adventure and this kind of stuff where we work together on things makes it so much woth it. No matter how prepared you are if you are not in it together then you will never actually be prepared.. wonderful place loved every sec of it. Thank you
