"I loved having a room with an outdoor space, and it's wonderful that this hotel is completely pet-friendly. When my dog was afraid to go on the elevator, Adam at the front desk helpfully moved me to a first-floor room. The hotel has its own private beach access, and the pool area is very nice, with plenty of options for kids and adults. I forgot my beach chair, but they work with a vendor that provides beach chairs and umbrellas and lets you charge them to your room, so you don't have to carry...

"Room requires general maintenance, bed in acceptable condition, towels worn out due to use, insufficient heating even when the thermostat is set to maximum temperature. Hot breakfast with omelette with cheese, fruit and cereal."

It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? "The staff were friendly, efficient and responded quickly to any issues. The pool was amazing, very clean as was the hot tub. My complaint is with the entry/exit doors on the North building. Between the wind and occupants not closing the doors gently, all you heard up until midnight was the slamming of those doors. It was very loud and kept us up most of the night. We reserved 2 rooms for our party of 4, thinking they would be next to each other but that was not the case. One room only had...

"Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!"
