For an exciting trip out of town, the North Norfolk Steam Railway departs from Sheringham and transports passengers to the Georgian market town of Holt (7.5 miles). For sun-soaked beach days, options beyond Sheringham include West Runton, Overstrand, and Mundesley (all within 12 miles). Further afield, Pensthorpe Lake and Woodland Conservation Area (20 miles) offers a great family day out.
