"This is a gothic type hotel. Our room was very comfortable and nice. Had a slight problem with dust. We had originally booked three nights but only stayed one night as the hotel premises were not what we expected, especially the breakfast dining which I believe is not very appropriate for having breakfast. However our breakfast was brought up and was excellent. The photos of the hotel on this site should show the premises so that people know what to expect. "

"I loved staying at The Beaches because everything was perfect, the owners were on hand to do breakfast every morning which wasn't limited to either a full English or just cereals (as in some B&B's that I've stayed in), they were happy to be of any help that you needed. I would be very happy to stay there next year when I go down again. There was nothing to hate about staying there."

"Easy chill check in, nice room comfy bed. Good price for bank holiday weekend. Fantastic location if you want to be in the heart of the city - our room was noisy from the outside bars and clubs with the window open, but this wasn’t an issue as closing them soundproofed the whole place. Bathroom very small - not much space for getting ready etc. But not an overly big issue. Overall lovely. "

"Boa localização. Mas o estado geral do hotel é bem ruim. Ganhamos um late check out de 2 horas da Expedia por ser um cliente VIP, saímos do hotel as 10:00 para passear, o check out normal era as 11:00 assim programamos nosso retorno para as 13:00; quando retornamos as 12:50 nossas malas já tinham sido retiradas do quarto, sem nenhum cuidado, e fomos mal tratados como se tivéssemos feito algo errado, foi muito desagradável."
