"We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with friends. The view was absolutely stunning. we loved sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee, just taking it all in. The atmosphere was peaceful and private, yet close enough to everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy and friendly, and they were so accommodating. We’re already talking about coming back...

"We loved our country get away. Upon our arrival Norm gave us a tour and suggestions of area restaurants. We awoke each morning enjoying breakfast while looking over the river. Ended the day with campfires, star gazing and the peace and tranquillity of the country. On our last night we also met Sue and she to joined us in conversations of the history of their family and Vrbo. Thanks for hosting and sharing with us-will definitely return.Lynn, Donny and Amy"

"What a beautiful home and setting! A spacious 4 bedroom home sitting above the beautiful Chippewa river! Comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen and a very nice outdoor space that included a fire ring! Angie was a wonderful host and maintained contact from the moment I booked with her! We visited wineries, parks, a mansion, waterfalls and other sites within a short drive of the house! I would highly recommend the Codax Retreat for a very nice get-a-way!"

"Stayed with my parents, siblings and their families. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Kitchen was stocked with very nice pots, pans, and food storage. Having two fridges was great! The lofted space with the bonus room with beds was awesome for the kids to have their own hangout space. Access to the water was perfect and so close the beach and park worked out so well! We would definitely book again!!"

"This is a great place. We had 3 families staying here w kids for our local "Friends and Family gathering" at the Catawba park. Downstairs has beds for those that need quiet space and there is a great deck where we saw a bunch of humming birds as well as turkeys and deer. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and lots of places for people to hang out and play cards in the evening."

"We stayed at this lovely home for three nights for a family event nearby. The house is as described and has everything you need for a quiet stay in the woods. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the mornings and lounging on the big comfy couch at night. We also enjoyed being right on the water but know that it is quite a few steps down to the dock."

"We were a small group going to a larger family reunion. The location was fantastic as we were 5 minutes away from the park where the reunion was being held. Didn’t need lake front, just a comfy place to sleep and kick back after fun filled days! Great supper club down the road for a Friday fish fry!"

"We hope to make this an annual trip, our stay was truly nothing short of perfect and only left us with wishing we would have booked a longer stay. Jonathon was truly the best host! Extremely friendly, accommodating, flexible with check-in and check-out since no guests were before or after us, and very responsive! Also, Sand Lake is gorgeous, my in-laws have been coming here their whole life. This stay allowed them to reminisce in the true serenity of the north woods on a lake that shimmers like...
