Complimentary parking is available next door at Penwell Funeral Home while construction of The Hatchery event venue is underway.

For guest safety, we ask that guests refrain from entering any active construction areas associated with The Hatchery renovation project located behind the home. These areas are clearly separate from the guest accommodations and are not accessible during your stay.

Thoughtfully renovated to blend historic character with modern comforts, the home features original architectural details, high ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and inviting spaces throughout.

The main floor offers multiple gathering areas, including a comfortable living room, formal dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of room for family and friends to connect. Whether you're sharing a meal, enjoying a morning coffee, or unwinding after a day of exploring, you'll find spaces designed for both conversation and relaxation.

Six of the seven bedrooms are spread throughout the upper levels of the home, providing comfortable accommodations and privacy for larger groups. Multiple bathrooms throughout the house make it easy for guests to settle in and enjoy their stay.

You'll also have access to the second-floor laundry room, complimentary WiFi, and smart TVs located in the living room and dining room.

For destinations outside of downtown Shelby, we recommend having access to a personal vehicle. Many nearby attractions, including Mansfield, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, parks, and other area destinations, are best reached by car.

Please note that rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are limited in our area and may not always be available. Taxi services are also limited.

If you're planning to explore beyond downtown Shelby, having your own transportation will provide the most convenient and reliable experience.

The historic Hatchery building located behind the home is currently being renovated into a future event venue. During your stay, there may be occasional daytime construction activity, noise, or temporary construction-related mess in the surrounding area.

Complimentary guest parking is currently provided next door in the funeral home parking lot while renovations are in progress.
