This wonderfully old and tastefully renovated small mill features a warm charm combined with many inviting modern amenities including EV Level 2 charging. Three levels with bedrooms and baths on each level, comfortable furnishings, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, "the mill" is well equipped for your getaway enjoyment. A picnic table and gas grill are provided to make that outdoor get together special. The house sits on 2 plus acre grounds alongside a year round stream just 2 miles from the Village of Shelburne Falls. Buckland Recreation Area with free playground and new outdoor swimming pool (pool fee) is just across the way. This centralized home base lets visitors enjoy the Western Massachusetts area and Interstate 91 is a handy10 miles away. Sight see the many area attractions or simply relax with family and friends. The brook side screened in porch is a unique feature to be enjoyed many months of the year. For the more adventurous, there is ample hiking, biking, rafting/kayaking , zip lines, skiing/boarding. Whether you are staying for a couple of nights, a week or more, you will find this a comfortable 210 year old repurposed property a nice home away from home to enjoy the "Berkshires". A perfect choice for parents visiting family members at one of the many education centers.

So worth it.

We had a great time with all the outdoor activities but also having that feeling of knowing youā€™re coming back to a clean and beautiful, new-like ā€œhomeā€ to clean up/ freshen up and relax and recharge and keep going. Loved the brook and its sounds right next to the property, loved opening those windows to hear it. Itā€™s a 10 for me.

Beautiful home and nice location

We stayed here for our daughterā€™s graduation in Northampton, which is an easy 35 minute drive. The mill is well provisioned and the host is highly responsive and courteous. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Lovely well appointed home

We just spent Friday and Saturday at this lovely renovated old Mill. There were 5 of us adults over 70. The accommodations were perfect with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It would be an easy place to stay a week. Probably the best equipped home Iā€™ve ever stayed in. There is a lovely enclosed porch next to a babbling creek. The yard is spacious. We ultimately realized that the pool that is mentioned is not on property but across the road at a recreation center. Amanda and Timothy were very responsive.

Weekend Family Visit

We enjoyed the charm and beauty of the view from the Mill /House windows and the property was spacious. Beds were comfortable for a good night's sleep and the showers were hot enough with good water pressure. I had to cook food for a Passover Seder and was so pleased the kitchen was well stocked with Cuisinart stainless cookware and excellent knives. When I texted the owner for more instructions on how to leave the house for exit , we had a pleasant conversation . She responded immediately.

Another wonderful stay!!

We love this home, this was our 4th time staying here. The layout is very good, bathrooms for each bedroom, the kitchen has everything we need, it is very clean, communication with the host is very good and we greatly enjoy the location, so much to do in all directions. This is the second time there has been snow when were there and someone has always come to shovel, very nice! We highly recommend this property!

Fabulous home!!

This is our 3rd time staying here, we love this historic home, it is in very good condition. The home is very clean, well stocked, the layout is very good and the communication with the host is also very good. We love the brook going by. It is close to Smith College where our daughter goes to school. We also enjoy the many other places and things to do in this area. Even after our daughter graduates I can see us coming back to this home and part of Massachusetts.

I agree with all the other comments about what a wonderful place this was to enjoy a few days in the Berkshires. Everyone had their own space and plenty of room. The home is well stocked and very clean. Great location close to Shelburne falls. Thanks for accommodating our extra night at the last minute!

Perfect!

My husband and I stayed with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and this place was perfect. Three floors, each with its own bedroom, bath, and sitting areas worked great to give us all privacy and space. The pool across the street at the Buckland Rec area was perfect for our six great nieces and nephew. The only downside was we did get a lot of rain the week we were there and the basement room where my husband and I stayed got a little musty with a mildew smell in the evenings. But that was minor compared to all the pluses of this property.

The grounds on this property is exceptional. Plenty of room for Bocce ball. The house was great! Their were 6 of us and we cooked inside and we used the provided grill out side also ate at local restaurant, the Blue Rock which was great! The place was nice and clean, and plenty of room for all of us to stretch out, play games and talk!

Highly Recommend! Wonderful Retreat!

This stay is one of the best I have enjoyed using VRBO! From start to finish it was seamless. We loved that the house was historic and the renovation was amazing!! The moment we walked inside we were at home. Some amenities, like the portacrib available, werenā€™t even listed. The owners thought of everything. Communication with the owner was excellent. The house itself is wonderfully decorated, stocked with everything you could possibly need and comfortable. Our family used all three levels and everyone loved the privacy it allowed when needed. Having a bathroom on each level was such a huge advantage since we were all there for a family wedding down the road. Location was excellent. Close to many things but also secluded enough with enjoyable views. Sitting on the screen porch listening to the babbling Brook was a real treat. It was so relaxing to know the childproof gates were available since my grand children were there. That was a real Plus. Great stay! Great owners! Great deal! I would Not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you for everything, especially the thoughtful gift you left us!

Babbling Brook

We were delighted with our rental house that was tastefully put together, beautiful hardwood floors, 3 bedrooms and baths each on separate floors for more privacy for everyone. It is locate near many hiking trails and close to a quaint town. The country setting and babbling brook passing nearby was an escape from all the noise in our world.

3 floors of fabulous

Clean, responsive host, 1 bedroom & 1 bath on each floor, beautiful quiet setting, near quaint towns & amenities like grocery stores, gas stations & restaurants, not far from I91. We stayed here to attend our kids' college graduation near Amherst and this location was perfect for that. It was close enough to get to graduation events on time yet away from the traffic and graduations crowds.

Great for a family

We spent a long weekend here with two kids and one set of grandparents. The layout of this house was perfect- every level has a bedroom, bathroom, and some seating space so there was always a way to have some folks nap while others hang out. The playground right across the street was also great, as was the proximity to town.

Love this place!

This was our second time staying in this lovely 1810 mill house. We love it. The sound of the creek is fabulous. Having 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms is very helpful with our family. Our youngest is at Smith College so this works beautifully for us. The location is wonderful, there are things to do in all directions. Shelburne Falls is a very nice little town nearby. Communication with the host is very good. It is very clean with all you need for your stay. We highly recommend this lovely home!
