Gorgeous property 150 ft. from Shawano Lake.

Summer is finally here and now it is time to book your family vacation on the iconic Shawano Lake!!
Newly renovated, 3 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage nestled on one of the clearest lakes in Wisconsin. There are 3 public boat landings within a 2 mile radius of cottage. Shawano county park is 0.5 miles away and offers a beautifully groomed beach, play ground, snack shack and separate dog beach. Enjoy time at a beautiful golf course 0.5 miles away. The Menominee casino, bowling alley and movie theater are also fun things to do on a rainy day. During the summer months visit American marina that is 1.0 miles away and rent a pontoon, jet sky, kayak, and/or paddle board. During the winter months, ice fishing is very popular on Shawano lake. There are also ATV trails and snowmobile trails. There are many wonderful restaurants including Classics supper club( walking distance), Brothers Pub (live bands) and many other great options! Enjoy campfires around the fire pit (bring your own firewood)! Check out all the adventures:

Weekend Away

We (my husband, daughter and I)decided to do a weekend away with our friends and their children when we had a wedding in the immediate area. Great location for the festivities we were attending at Shawano County Park Pavillion (>5min drive). Less than 10 min drive to downtown Shawano for the farmer's market on Saturday AM. Cleanliness was given a 4* only due to the amount of spiders(which I know is par for the course in August near a lake) . The kitchen could also use some updating, but we used it minimally anyways. This was a great property for our purposes. Owner was a top notch communicator when I had questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!

Went for our annual friends summer trip and this was such a great place for us!! Hosts are wonderful, incredibly responsive and helpful, close to restaurants, the house was clean and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again and would recommend for friends, family, or just a nice little getaway!

Another great week

This is our second time staying at the property and it was as great as the first. It is in a great location and has all the amenities you could need for a week-long stay in Shawano. Would highly recommend it!

Wonderful accommodations & great location. Perfect for a quick ice fishing getaway. Close to access points on Shawano & Loon lakes with plenty of restaurant options nearby. We will stay here again in the future!

Absolutely wonderful!

My fiance is from Shawano, and we drove 1200 miles to visit his family. The cabin was perfect, and a wonderful place to arrive to! Connie was amazing to work with and extremely quick to respond. She helped us out of a bind and was pleasant the entire time, which was a breath of fresh air. The neighbors are very friendly and even salted the driveway for us. The property is very well maintained, the beds were comfortable, and the living space was warm and welcoming. There were enough linens, kitchen supplies, and you would never know this is a pet friendly location with how well kept up it is compared to other locations we have been to. Our dog had separation anxiety and damaged some property, however Connie was so kind about the situation that we were still able to enjoy our trip. I would highly recommend this location, and we will definitely keep it as a favorite spot for travel but next time we will leave the pup at home. Thank you so much!

Not wheelchair accessible

Front door clearance for a wheelchair is about 30” as the door opens to the inside. The you have to maneuver through two other small doorways at a 90 degree angle to get into the kitchen. Don’t plan on getting your wheelchair into the bathroom it’s 22” clearance and no room for it once you get in. Upsetting we drove 45 minutes out of our way to stay here specifically because it was wheelchair accessible, but in my opinion not even close. Owner was polite but claims they are “wheelchair accessible through the front door because there are no stairs then you have to be able to stand and pivot.” She claims they are not “handicapped accessible” (no grab rails, accessible shower, etc.) which there is no way to differentiate a search for this on VRBO your options are just “wheelchair accessible” or “elevator”. Not impressed with VRBO or this property for these reasons. Very upsetting my friends could not even stay here for these reasons and had to scramble to make other sleeping arrangements for the weekend. Owner did not offer a partial refund to them as it’s one price regardless of how many people stay. So much for our fun couples weekend. 👎🏻

Birthday Getaway

Wonderful time staying in this little cottage. Was welcomed with an unexpected birthday surprise which was very nice. The rules are simple and easy to follow. Nice quiet area to stay in very close to the water. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great Family Vacation

The host was great at communicating with us very easy to deal with. Had all the amenities we needed for a great vacation. Close enough to walk to county park. Would recommend this rental to anyone very clean. Will surely return again in the future.

Amazing space!

We were super happy with the cottage. It had all the amenities you could need including central air and a washer/dryer. Everything was super comfy (including the king size bed in the master bedroom) and we absolutely loved it there. We definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Comfortable and clean!

We stayed for a long weekend - this house is incredibly clean and every detail attended to. The host was proactive and reached out to ask if we needed anything and even suggested something that we ended up needing. Responsive and helpful with questions we had during our stay. Would highly recommend and will stay again if the need arises!
