"It was a shame that I didn’t arrive until the early hours of the morning. I didn’t get to sample the facilities that were available as I had to leave in the morning.
The staff were lovely and the standard of the hotel is excellent.
The price I paid for the room and breakfast was also very reasonable"

Food was excellent, very generous portions. Gluten free catered for very well.
Unfortunately the shower in room 33 constantly dripped.
Other than that great 1 night stay after a long day at Twycross Zoo.

"Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

"Primarily stayed here for niece’s graduation, so we just stayed one night.. but the overall experience was all good, we informed the hotel in advanced that we would have some flowers delivered and they took good care of that.
The only grip if I had to say was the location from the station is a quite a long walk with all your luggages but otherwise all was a good stay. "
