We had a blast at this house. The space was great. Very open and cozy. The 2 fridges and 2 stoves were perfect for hosting our family Thanksgiving. The house provided more than enough, cups, plates, bowls, and silverware. Also there were 2 crockpots, 2 griddles, and all the pots and pans we needed for our 16 person family. Additionally, everyone said their beds were comfortable as well! Location was also great and we were 10 minutes tops from the main road/strip. I would recommend this house and would stay here again.

We booked this for a family reunion. 24 adults and 6 children. This was a beautiful, spacious home that was perfect for our group. The children loved the large living room and decks. The communication with our host was always quickly answered and very friendly and pleasant. And what a wonderful view from the deck! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Where do I even start on this amazing property! Spent Labor Day weekend with friends & family. Right off the bat check in was easy & quick. The pics on the website do this place no justice! The living room area is enormous! Plenty of couches & chairs for many ppl. There's basically 6 master suites each with its own bathroom. 5 of the 6 have king size beds, & the other has a queen. There are also multiple other smaller rooms as well. Every single mattress is extremely soft & comfortable! The sheets, comforters, & pillows are all high quality & very soft! Every single person each morning commented on how soft beds & bedding are. Everyone said they had amazing nights sleep. Each bedroom has its own large tv. Each piece of furniture is solid wood, & no cheap particle furniture anywhere in the home. There's basically wings of this home. Each with multiple bedrooms per wing. Huge bedrooms too. Plenty of closet space. The entire house has been remodeled in past few years. Nice tile work in all bathrooms & new flooring, baseboard, doors, & entire kitchen is new. There's enough space for all 6 couples to have own area if you want to be alone & secluded. Every single room has like 4 pillows on each bed with extra comforters & pillows in every single room. I mean they have thought of everything! 2-3 irons, hair dryers, baby stroller, everything! The game rooms were perfect! Pool table, poker table, (with chips & cards), video game system with like 2k games on it! You will not be disappo

The property is absolutely beautiful. We have a large group and everyone always has amenities they would like. This house had it all. Every family was able to get their own room and we still had leftover pull out couches. We travel each year as a big group and always look for big houses and very rarely do they actually accomodate all of our needs but this house was perfect. The kitchen is very spacious for cooking with the two stoves and fridges. There is also plenty of countertop space. The living room is also very spacious. We went out a couple of times to the jacuzzi and it has an amazing view. The property manager was also very easy to get ahold of at all times and their checkout process was very easy. The only thing that we would change is that we were really looking forward to the pool table but unfortunately the felt is a bit worn and the balls dont bounce off some edges anymore but other than that we would definetely come back again. We were also very close by to everything and did a new activity each day. I would recommend the Astra Lumina lightshow at Anakeesta. The house was a bit secluded which is what we wanted since we are a larger group but driving late at night is definetely a bit trickier due to the turns. We even got to see bears and other wildlife. 10 out of 10 recommend
The theater room has 3 rows and the back row has pull out sofas
The living room was perfect and there is windows all around to look out
We definetely enjoyed some game nights a few days
Between this dining table and the living room, we were able to enjoy meals together

Big Bear Lodge was a great place to have our family reunion, with 27 family members attending.We brought extra chairs and tables, which turned out to be quite useful. The kitchen worked very well for our large group even with the corner dishwasher only partially usable (upper rack problems).The bathrooms could use more towel racks and hooks. There was no shampoo which was supposed to be provided.We had hoped to grill, but the grill is in poor condition and we didn't want to use it.We tried to switch off the outside lighting but never did find the switch. This affected a couple of bedrooms. Black out curtains/blinds for the affected rooms would be a good idea.The decks were enjoyable options when the living rooms were crowded. We enjoyed the mountain views. We got a safe look at two black bears coming out of the woods. Big Bear was very convenient for the national park and Dollywood. It is also convenient for visiting Gatlinburg.

Family vacation 2025

We have an annual family vacation for Memorial Day. This was a great house. We had all ages and there was fun activities at the house for all. The house is spread out enough to enjoy alone time if needed and family time otherwise. It is secluded despite being minutes from many attractions. The kitchen has all the basics needed. It was clean and had starter supplies. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

The home was beautiful, the home was in rural area, Mountain View. Small repairs needed and few things need to be replaced.I give the house 4 stars and the Host (Donna)was the best. We will be back!

Great Stay

The house was perfect. Fit all the families well with plenty of space to spare. Everything you would need in a kitchen was there and up to date. The bedrooms were very comfortable and accommodating. Everyone had a great stay. Got to see the family of bears every day on the property. We all highly recommend this property.
