Let's walk through it the way you'll actually live in it. You arrive to a full front porch lined with rocking chairs and a table set for slow mornings — coffee in hand, hills in view. Step inside to an open living, dining, and kitchen space that's the heart of the home: bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed, with a living area anchored by a smart TV and a dining space made for gathering. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to cook — real cookware and dishware, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a coffee bar with a Keurig K-Cup + Full Pot Brew combo.

Off the living space, the main-floor king suite is your retreat — a plush king bed and a private ensuite bath, with no stairs at day's end. Out back, the home opens up again: a second full porch with Adirondack chairs and the hot tub, overlooking a level backyard made for quiet evenings.

Upstairs, the loft is the flex space everyone gravitates to — a sitting-and-lounge area with a pull-out sleeper sofa, a chair, and its own smart TV, plus a half bath that saves the midnight trip downstairs. A youth bunk tucked into the loft is the room the kids claim the second they see it. And the arcade game is the detail nobody expects and everybody loves — the after-dinner tournament and the rainy-afternoon rescue all in one. Smart TVs in the living room, bedroom, and loft, plus in-unit laundry, round it out.

*Small families when needed — Although created with couples in mind, Emberwood Escape can also accommodate a small family with a sleeper sofa and twin youth bunks, and a half bath located in the loft.

Self check-in after 4:00 PM using a lockbox — you'll receive a unique access code on your arrival day to retrieve the key. (A smart lock is being installed, so some later stays may use a smart-lock code instead; either way, we'll send your exact instructions before arrival.) Checkout is 10:00 AM. Park right at the cabin on a paved, level pad with room for two vehicles. The driveway climbs from the road with a single switchback, so take it slow your first time up. No RV or trailer parking on site.

Good to know before you book
• Layout & access: the king suite, full bath, kitchen, and living area are all on the main floor — no stairs to your bedroom. The loft (youth bunk, sleeper-sofa lounge, and half bath) is up one flight. There are 2 steps up to the front porch and 7 from the backyard to the back porch, so the home isn't fully step-free.
• The hot tub, both porches, and everything inside are fully ready to enjoy. However, A Backyard Makeover - COMING SOON...depending on the dates of your stay...we may get to show you some crazy awesome additions...stay tuned! • Wildlife: you're in the Smokies, where black bears and other wildlife occasionally wander through — part of the magic here. Just keep food and trash secured, latch the outdoor trash cage, and never feed or approach wildlife. Your digital guidebook has the simple do's and don'ts.
• This is a smoke-, vape-, and open-flame-free home inside and out (no lit candles). Pet-friendly for up to 2 pets with a pet fee (the yard is not fenced).
• Security: an exterior security camera covers the front/driveway area, and the property may use a privacy-safe noise/environmental monitor that does not record audio or conversations. There are no cameras inside the home.
