"Bear Creek Falls Retreat" is paradise on earth and if you are looking for the perfect place to have a special and memorable vacation, this is it! This beautiful log cabin boasts soaring ceilings, beautiful dƩcor, top of the line furnishings, sounds of the waterfall, lush wooded views, and entertainment galore!

Located in Bear Creek Crossing, a gated community just outside of Pigeon Forge. This resort community is motorcycle friendly and offers several amenities which include an on-site putt-putt course, an indoor pool for winter, and a relaxing outdoor pool during the summer with a triple waterfall backdrop.

This cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests with the 4 bedrooms located throughout the 3 spacious levels. The master bedroom located in the upper level, has a king bed, flat-screen TV, wonderful jacuzzi, a private bath, and its own electric fireplace and love seat. There is a king bedroom on the main level with a private tub/shower combo bathroom with a flat-screen TV. In the lower level, there is also 2 king bedrooms both with private tub/shower combo bathroom and flat-screen TVs. You will be able to enjoy comfort and privacy as guests head to rest for the night.

In the game room, kids and adults of all ages will love playing around and hanging out. Featuring a pool table, a 55-inch flat-screen TV, queen sofa sleeper, a lovely electric fireplace, and an arcade game Ms. Pac Man. You will also find a mini-refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, high-speed internet, and the washer/dryer is on this level.

Whether youā€™re preparing a gourmet meal or just a quick snack, the beautiful kitchen is well equipped to handle anything. Beautiful wood cabinets with space you really want to spend time in. It has all the essentials and a dining table with room for 8.

Out on the deck, lush wooded views surround you. Unwind at the end of a long day with a soak in the hot tub, or have a cup of coffee while relaxing in the rocking chairs and listening to the waterfall below. A gas grill on the deck is great for cookouts, so pick up some steaks while youā€™re in town and enjoy a peaceful meal on a nice night.

Bear Creek Retreat

I brought my family here for a weekend away. 2024 was a hard year for us. Cancer, car accident and just life wore us down. We arrived to find no pool as the ad suggested. The internet did not work the entire weekend. I called about that, was told that the ā€œowner of the cabin changed the password and did not give it to the property management so we were out of luck. The last evening there, we seen a roach (I have pictures to prove). Just a horrible experience overall and not one Iā€™d suggest. So much for our GOOD FOOT FORWARD family vacation. The owner and the property management company need to really get it together so no other family goes through that. And for the pool, the ad suggests that it is a private pool when it is not, itā€™s a community pool with freezing water! I was told the pool says community but I read the contract and it does not say that at all. Good luck to the next family who rents this cabin!

Air conditioner needs replacing

Problems with air conditioning. It took more than 24 hours for someone to come out to repair. Also, things like dishwasher packs wasnā€™t stocked very well. We got two.

We were vacationing with 2 other families. On the map when we booked it, it looked like we were just a few cabins away. Upon receiving or emails, we were about half a mile away with big hills in between us. The internet did not work right for the entire week. The office tried to get it fixed. The internet provider came out a couple of times and even replaced and moved some of the equipment. It still didnā€™t fix the problem. I own my own business and needed to check on things. My daughter just graduated from nursing school and needs to study to pass her board exam. Because cell service was not good, we had to make other daily arrangements to get on the internet which was a pain. The cabin itself was great. The office tried to rectify the situation. But in the end, we needed the internet, and it wasnā€™t available to us.

Great location and space for a family

The cabin was perfect for our family getaway and very spacious. We enjoyed the golf, hot tub and pool table amenities as well. The location is close to both Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountain National Park. A great perk was also the ability to use a free daily ticket, which we used for Dollywood.

Wildfire notice

With a wildfire nearby, it would have been appropriate for the owner to call and let me know the situation. When we saw embers coming down on the property, we quickly evacuated. It would have been helpful for the host to notify out of towers the best way to evacuate, but I heard nothing from them, even after sending a message that we were leaving. Just common courtesy. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay, just better communication is needed.

GREAT CABIN - PERFECT LOCATION

Location can't be beat. Amenities were top notch. Had everything you could want in the kitchen. Everything was in order and clean. Most beds were great, one in the basement could use a little more support, it was good for teenagers. This cabin is best for adults with 4 bedrooms (all with KING beds) and a pull out couch. Lots of space and perfect for lager families with escape features. Two decks and a huge front porch. Hot tub, game table, and pool table were all hits with the older teenagers. Only issue is the wifi was something to be desired. It did not work most of ht time and when it did bandwidth was not optimal. It could only be used in the living room, not in basement or upstairs. Nearby cabins offered superior wifi strength at all levels of our cabin. Don't go there to work. We own our own business that is the only reason we needed it while there. With one small detractor, this is a great cabin that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Horrible Experience

We drove from Chicago and Check-in time was listed as 3PM and we waited almost 4 hours after without any luck. We called the office and we were told cleaning unit has been contacted and it will be ready in 20 minutes but we were given false hopes and when we reached the Unit, manager said cleaning unit couldnā€™t make it and we had no choice but to check in to the dirty Unit on 1st night of stay. We had to clean/sanitize the entire unit/toilets ourselves in order for us to stay. When we asked for fresh linens/bedsheets, we were told that we have to do the laundry ourselves at first place until it was escalated . Seriously ???? Cleaning staff didnā€™t show up until next morning and soon after she left we had issues with septic tank and sewage so we couldnā€™t use the toilets or showers in the basement rooms during our entire stay because everything backed up in the tubs. We contacted the office several times during our stay to send the cleaning unit and NO ACTION was taken. Unit was full of bugs on the floor and we noticed it in on the beds and jacuzzi tub as well. We are very disappointed that during checkout when we reported that cleaning staff didnā€™t even show up to clean the bath tubs, the lady laughed as if it was some kind of joke which was so pathetic, ridiculous and so unprofessional. If I recall Correctly, I talked to Christine and Elaine from the staff. We had very high expectations for a nice Christmas vacation but it was all ruined due to horrible condition of the unit and poor customer service. :( We just hope that none of us get COVID due to the mismanagement on the bear creek staff in fulfilling the cleaning requirements as per the CDC guidelines.

Viet veterans couples reunion

Our two complaints concern health & safety. The cabin most definitely had not been deep cleaned. Lots of dust & dirt on baseboards and horribly dirty chandelier over dining table. Plus lots of crispy dead bugs in room corners on rugs & on all windowsills. Stairways are very steep from one floor to the next & not well lit. The stairs into the front entrance from the parking area are a disaster. Loose railings and inoperable solar lights make exiting in the darkness truly dangerous. We had flashlights to try to load our car in the recent rainstorm. The parking area by the steps is totally unlit. With some attention to safety, maintenance & especially cleanliness during the pandemic, we could rate our stay higher. We would not rent again without someone from vrbo checking that these issues were resolved. .As at risk elders, we expected much better conditions. The roominess was great but with COVID concerns, our stay was not satisfactory. We vacuumed & scrubbed before we unpacked. We expected the hefty cleaning fee we paid would ensure sanitary safe conditions.

Family Getaway

The location of this cabin in a gated community was perfect. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but close enough to run in for entertainment or special meals. Our family spent most of our time hiking in the GSMNP. It was nice to return to the cabin to rest and recharge. We had plenty of bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom which was wonderful. We used the grill and hot tub and spent time on the back deck with morning coffee. Our granddaughter loved the pacman game which was something new for her and the men in the family enjoyed playing several games of pool. The cabin had many areas for visiting and relaxing, so if you wanted to people could separate for different activities like quiet time or game time. The only negatives were that the cabin is in need of TLC. We had issues with several plug ins not working, the faucet on the jet tub upstairs wouldn't shut off properly, the dryer quit working, the front porch railing by the steps was rotting away in places, and the light switches are in odd areas. For example the dining table light is a toggle switch on a cord in the corner of the room. When we arrived, a bit early, we found a bug exterminator truck parked out front of our cabin. I became almost nauseous for fear of bed bugs. I spoke with the bug man and a cleaning lady who both assured me this was routine spraying since we are in a wooded area. There were no bed bugs. However, I got bit by something in the middle of the night that caused a 1/2 inch blister and a 2 inch diameter red swollen area. I thought it might've been a spider, but when I called management for another issue, the lady said she had been bitten by a large black ant that had similar effects. We did see a black ant on my husband's pillow, so that may have been what bit me. That happened over a week ago and I still have a scar from it, but no real serious reactions. Oh, and whenever we called management, they were very nice and helpful. When the maintenance guy came to look at the jet tub faucet, he didn't want to try to fix it because he said he might break something. If he called a plumber, they would have to shut off the water and we would be without water for most of a day, probably, so we just didn't use the jet tub again. Overall, the cabin was very nice and we enjoyed our stay there. I would recommend this cabin, but hope the owners take time in the off season to update and repair issues.
