Description: Situated on the shores of Lake Katchawannoka, this cozy cottage is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the Village of Lakefield for all your needs. Alternatively, you can boat right into town, adding a scenic touch to your journey.
The main floor of the cottage features an open kitchen and living area, with two bedrooms to the side. A sunroom and deck offer picturesque views of the lake and lot. The finished walkout basement, with a sliding door walkout, features two additional bedrooms and a spacious living area, along with a covered seating area under the deck.
The cottage is situated on a very large 1.4-acre lot, featuring spacious grassy areas bordered by trees along the property lines, providing for privacy! The lot is mostly flat and gently slopes towards the lake. The depth at the end of the 42-foot dock is approximately 4 feet, and at the floating raft in the pictures for reference only- the depth is approximately 5 to 6 feet. Please note that there are aquatic weeds.
For an exceptional swimming and water fun experience, indulge in the vast natural sandbar situated directly across the lake—just a leisurely 7-minute paddle boat or a 2-minute canoe ride away. This huge sandbar, free from cottages, provides an ideal setting to unwind, play in the water, and enjoy all-day fun and sun in the water The sandbar stands out as a truly exceptional spot to visit during your stay!
Being part of the Trent Severn Waterway, this lake offers the added benefit of boating to numerous neighboring lakes. Additionally, the surroundings make it an excellent venue for various outdoor activities such as horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, and croquet. Simply unwind and relish the serene ambiance of cottage country, and all that this area has to offer.
And don’t forget the sandbar!!

Katchewanooka is an Ojibway word, which means “lake of many rapids”. Before the Trent Severn Waterway was built the lake was narrower with faster-moving water. The lake stretches from Stoney and Clear Lake to of the Village of Lakefield.
The lake is known for its fishing, both largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, and panfish.
