TREYVES, is a family house, located in the Loir Valley in Anjou, near Angers and the castles of the Loire dominating an exceptional natural site in the wild nature of the Low Angevin Valleys. The name of Treyves is very old, probably coming from the Latin which designated the crossroads.
The property is composed of a main house of the 30's Art Deco style, and a pretty old habitable pavilion nestled along the river. A haven of peace combining the comfort of a pleasant house with the sweetness of a well maintained garden. At the border of a natural and wild environment, it allows the observation of a rich and discreet avifaune.
The house was built on the slope of the Loir on an old site, hollowed out of cellars; in the limestone of the marl shell. An old stream dug by the monks of the Chalosse Abbey in medieval times still crosses the property.
A very large terrace overlooks a flower garden of 2500m2 whose access is via stairs. The Loir is accessible directly by a private pontoon; swimming, canoe and fishing are practiced in summer. It offers the opportunity to discover the river, mills and weirs and its wildlife.
The main house (250m2) can accommodate up to 12 people, with a maximum of 9 adults. It consists on the ground floor of a veranda, a very well equipped kitchen, a dining room and a suite of 3 living rooms with parquet floor: dining and living room with fireplace, library and music room.
Each of the lounges serves the large terrace furnished with benches, tables, BBQ and a plancha.
It is delicious to admire the sunset while having a lovely aperitif!
At the first level are two large master bedrooms with closet and dresser. One of them has a small annex room (single bed and desk). Each room has a separate, bright bathroom with toilet and shower.
At the second level two attic rooms offer 5 to 6 beds. The rooms share a bathroom (bath and shower) and separate WC. Each room has storage space.
The vast majority of rooms are facing west, enjoying views of the garden and the river.
At the edge of the river, a 19th century romantic pavilion (25m2) offers a privileged living space for a couple.
It is furnished with large double bed with two mattresses, a sitting area, a large work table. It is a charming, peaceful and rejuvenating place, to book additionally on request.
