Beautiful lakefront home on Seal Cove next to Acadia National Park

Welcome to Cookie Bite Cove. This traditional, lakefront, home located on Seal Cove Pond offers a quiet, peaceful Mount Desert Island getaway. Built-in 2020, this beautiful home is sure to impress. You will get all of the ease of being on Mount Desert Island without all of the traffic and chaos. You can fall asleep listening to the loons sing and awaken to the sunrise watching eagles and osprey feed on the lake. Seal Cove Pond is a 255-acre spring-fed lake surrounded by Acadia National Park. It is lake life at its best! The kids will spend hours swimming, fishing, and kayaking. This cabin sleeps 6 (1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, 1 bunk bed). We are minutes to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Northeast Harbor. There you will find beautiful hikes, stunning views, Cadillac Mountain, cute harbor towns, island boutiques, and great restaurants. You can also play golf at the famous Kebo Valley course. The house has a private dock, large yard perfect for family entertaining, enjoying a bonfire, playing on the swing-set or reading a good book in the hammock. Acadia National Park, known as the crown jewel of the North Atlantic coast, protects the highest and most beautiful rocky headlands. There are multiple bike, kayak, and boat rentals available from local vendors. Kayaks and life vests are provided. Come for a visit, your memories will last a lifetime.

Expansive, Picturesque Lakefront PropertyWe stayed a week in mid-October at this home which allowed us proximity to Acadia, the entirety of Mount Desert Island, the Schoodic peninsula & more. The views from the home were extraordinary. Not only were the views expansive, but the property as well. We found all equipment & provisions necessary for a week's stay. I must mention the primary shower which was fantastic with multiple shower heads in an immense open space. Communication and access was easy & efficient. If returning to the area, we would stay again.

Well stocked kitchen including lobster pot, picks, and bowls! Beautiful lake view. Comfy beds and great family room for playing games. We enjoyed bocce ball, grilling on the deck, and loved the quiet location, close to Bass Harbor.

The house was clean and beautiful and tranquil view off of deck. Peaceful area. Overall a decent stay.Could improve the following:Need dishwasher tabs. Had to handwashing all dishes. The tub for tabs was empty under the sink.Beds were not comfortable.Coffee pot was not clean and did not work. We had to fix it, clean it then use it.Furniture in living space not comfortable to relax in.Could use more throw blankets in living room.Otherwise pleasant. Thank you.

This beautiful house and property made this trip to Maine our best one yet! We loved canoeing on the lake, and even just sitting quietly on the dock looking at the stars or listening to the loons. We loved playing bocce ball on the court provided or sitting at one of the outside seating areas overlooking the lake. The inside of the house was very clean and smartly decorated, with a lake view on two sides. Every possible appliance, cookware, or gadget we needed for the kitchen was available. All towels and linens were provided for the bathrooms and bedrooms as well. We did have to contact the host about a non-working outlet in the bathroom, and it was resolved right away. We had the pleasure of meeting the host who was super friendly and very conscientious that we had everything that we needed to enjoy our vacation.We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!

The house was just as advertised, including the lake view and the supply of kayaks. The location was private with an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The kitchen was one of the best equipped rental properties we’ve stayed at. The large common area of living room/dining/kitchen provided plenty of room to hangout.

The home was wonderful inside, had everything we could think of needing, and was very comfortable. Outside, the deck, backyard, pier, and lake were the true highlights. I can’t think of a way to describe how amazing it is. During our 5 night stay in the middle of the summer, we saw no more than 6 people on the lake or around the property, and we spent a lot of time out there. We were expecting it to be quiet, but it was beyond our wildest imagination.Despite being in a quiet area, the house is in a great location to conveniently visit all parts of the island. We were a close drive to Bass Harbor for a fishing charter, and within 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and most of Acadia National Park. On our first night we needed a quick dinner and Hodgdon’s Seafood less than 10 minutes away offered a casual and tasty dinner outside.Last but not least, Alex was an exceptional host who went above and beyond on a request that made the trip extra memorable for our kids. Thank you, Alex!

Peaceful, perfect!

We absolutely loved this cabin at Seal Cove! The location was fantastic for visiting Acadia while maintaining the pristine atmosphere of quiet. We kayaked and fished nightly, and enjoyed bocce and wildlife sightings. Thank you for sharing your fabulous home! We hope to return someday soon!

Perfect Family Gathering Place

Tucked away on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island, this home was the perfect getaway. Thoughtfully laid out and beautifully maintained, it offered endless activities for our grandkids from fishing off the dock and canoeing on the water to evening campfires and games of bocce on the lawn. A truly peaceful and scenic slice of Maine. We’d love to return!Supreme Court

Peaceful stay

The house was in a wonderful, quiet location on the water. There was lots of space and options for relaxing time. We enjoyed using the fire pit and spending time listening to the loons and the symphony of frogs from the dock at night. There’s very little light pollution so the dock is also a great place to stargaze. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable and the master shower is lovely. We also enjoyed using the kitchen and the grill. The bocci pit was an unexpected option. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing place

This is a lovely home in an amazing location. We enjoyed our stay immensely. This is on the quiet side of Acadia National Park, which we found perfect for our family. We could get to Bar Harbor in about 25 minutes in the car and also had easy access to great hikes, restaurants, and other "things to do." The Seal Cove Auto Museum is nearly across the street, which was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Bass Harbor Lighthouse is an easy drive. Great restaurants nearby included: Thurston's, Abel's, and Beal's (all GREAT local lobster). We rented bikes in Bar Harbor one day and biked the carriage roads, which was beautiful and fun. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return someday.

Quiet spot on the west side of MDI. Beautiful property with 270* degree views of the lake. 15-25 min drive to any hotel spot on the island. Would stay here again!

Beautiful property!

This is the perfect home for a family wanting to visit but that still provides the comfort of home. Perfect views of Seal Cove Pond and Acadia. We loved having a fire in the back yard to roast marshmallows and just hanging out in the back yard. Check in and out was super easy. Would love to come back again!

Great, quiet home on the water.

This was a lovely house to stay in. Very great hosts, responding quickly to any questions or needs we had. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our own meals. The location was quiet and private with lovely views of Seal Cove.
