Tastefully appointed ocean front home with dramatic ocean views

  • This is a spacious home with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The first level includes a bedroom with one queen bed as well as a room with two twin beds and both bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The half bathroom is located on the second level landing which is also the level the master bedroom is on. The master bedroom has a king bed, gas fireplace and attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub. A couple steps up is the dining, living and kitchen with sweeping ocean views, large decks, large window seats. The *new* hot tub (installed November 2025) is on the deck overlooking ocean.

    **Please Note: There is construction in the area of the Berk house. Please be aware there may be trucks along the road and construction noise at this time.**

    TO ENHANCE YOUR STAY, ENJOY . . .
    - three heated communal pools and saunas at three recreation centers
    - tennis and pickleball courts
    - miles of hiking trails amidst redwoods and along the Pacific Coast

    Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
    Quiet hours must be observed between 9pm and 7am every day.
    No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time day or night.
    Maximum number of vehicles at house shall be 3 (three), with a 2-car garage available. No RV's
    Maximum occupancy is 6 for this home.

Very pleasant home with great views and lovely living space. Hot tub with prime views. Bedrooms and beds comfortable. Home in mostly good condition although certain repairs needed to enhance stay. Front door lock needs repairing, HVAC system battery was not working due to dead battery and home was very cold upon arrival, kitchen appliances not in great order.

The house was beautiful and functional, and the location couldn't be beat. I've also rented through Vacasa before when visiting Sea Ranch, and found this rental experience much easier. Our visit aligned with the very strong storm conditions this winter, which led to a blackout (of no fault of the rental agency, of course), but they remained responsive to helping us sort through issues that arose during the outage/over the holiday.

The views are even better than they appear in the photos. Very comfortable home with good separation of bedrooms from living/dining space.

The home is clearly aging from rentals...stains in carpets, doors won’t close, sliding doors stuck, windows are cloudy, kitchen sink faucet broken, and ants. Property has potential to return it to an earlier state.

We often vacation here for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc. It couldn’t have been better. We think about this place often and how dreamy the entire experience was. The location was unsurpassed. The aesthetic was amazing. Everything was perfect even as I reminisce about it 2 years later. This house was everything.

Wonderful home

My wife and I have been spending our anniversaries at Sea Ranch for the last 34 years. We have stayed in a number of different oceanfront homes. This home has a spectacular view of the ocean and evening sunsets. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen for the most part was well stocked. A few missing items like a can opener and better wine opener would be expected. I also recommend having a broom and some cleaning products available so guests can keep up on regular cleaning throughout their stay. We would recommend this home for a larger group. It was a big home for two of us but we enjoyed every inch.

Reviewer Comments: We love this home and it really suits our needs. Very room. Only problem we had one morning a man was at our porch taking photos of the house. He asked our nice who she was as if its his business. Latter we got a phone call from Beach Rentals saying we should not have our lights left on at the front door after 10pm. If I had been told that we would not have done it. We generally follow all the rules. Also it concerns me that someone would come onto the property and be taking phots and not introduce himself and say what he was doing. I think next year we may choose another home. Kinda tier having a Gladys Cravitts snoring around. Get a light fella

The house and the location are just stunning. This was one of the most serene places we've ever stayed. Happy to report that the complaints (which did make us a little apprehensive about this place) were either unfounded or addressed by the owners: - Kitchen was well stocked: pots, pans, utensils--you can cook a modestly-ambitious meal here. The bad: the spices were scant, and the pop-up toaster didn't work (but they have a toaster oven/air fryer!). - House overall was in great shape. Some reviews made it sound dingy, but that was not our experience. There are some nitpicks, but overall very clean and well kept. We saw a few ants, but not enough to worry about at all. - Hot tub worked perfectly. I think we'll be back. The location is unbeatable; it feels like you have the whole shore to yourself. We walked for 2 hours and only saw 3 people. Maybe that's our reward for staying on a weekend with rain in the forecast. Views of the ocean are unobstructed. There's a cluster of large rocks 100ft or so off shore that attracts birds and produce big sprays of water, and you can sit anywhere in the living room and watch. The house is on the northern end of sea ranch, so you can get into Gualala in a few minutes for groceries, dinner, etc.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house with one odd exception. The joint bathroom between two bedrooms has no privacy lock on the area with the shower and toilet. This is bizarre and a real problem. It’s almost unavoidable to walk in on a fellow guest in an embarrassing way. All the owner has to do is put a new door knob on!!!! This is ridiculous.There was also no broom. This is also a simple but important fix.

We had a lovely stay. The living space was great, and the kitchen well suited to cooking a big meal. Views and sunsets were spectacular.
