"no signs for reception, doors were locked and there was no number or bell to ring, no wifi, no rubbish bin in room, curtains too small for the window, no toiletries, car park poorly lit, it looks like the hotel is under some sort of renovation, raining last night and the gutter was leaking"

"Access worked well via code communicated via email. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Small bathroom with nice rainfall shower. Location was ideal sitting at the bottom of Steep Hill between shops and historic Lincoln (castle/cathedral). "

"The rating was given for two star hotel. This is a motel style, very, very simple. Service was good, the room was relatively clean. We stayed only one night, so we just needed a place where we could sleep. It was a good place to stay for the money paid. "

"I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. No apology what's so ever!! The staff member said I hope it will be better next time, to which I replied "I doubt there will be a next...

Food was good but service very very slow (it was Valentines Day so to an extent we understood but 30 mins to get a glass of water was maybe a little extreme) Bed a little uncomfortable and the floors (both ours and above) were extremely creaky so we could hear everyone moving around which made for a difficult sleep. Staff extremely pleasant and location is great."

"Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast in quality and quantity, most attentive and pleasant staff. Room furnishings and carpet a bit worn out, otherwise an excellent stay. Good situation right next to Blickling House and Estate with beautiful country walks."

"Disappointed with room, cold - one radiator didn’t appear to work and one needed reprogramming in order to get warmth. The duvet was thin meaning we were cold during the night, and the bed was uncomfortable, so much so we nearly got up and drove home. Shower had black mould on head & pipe. There was a dirty towel, wedged behind the door on the bathroom floor. I went to use a beaker and saw that it was stained so gave up using anything in the kitchen."
