"What a great place! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend with some hiking and kayaking. The kayaking trip was canceled last minute due to weather, but we took the disappointment in stride, because we had this beautiful hidden gem to come back to. "This multi-level house/cabin works well for family and friends to gather on the island. Lots of room inside and outside for potluck dinners and game nights. The basement 2br apartment was especially nice for our son's family with a toddler. The kitchen is well equipped and has excellent appliances. Claire was a great host and responded immediately to all questions. There is excellent storage and lots of refrigerator and freezer space for your island stay, "

"we had a really lovely time on Madeline Island. The house was just what we needed - modest, but with all the necessary amenities to cook a meal, relax and enjoy the water. The access across the road was easy and convenient. The kayaks were awesome! We had an early snag where the property had not been fully cleaned from the previous guests but Alan was on it immediately and offered compensation for the hassle which was much appreciated! Highly recommend!"

"Private beach was excellent. We had such a good time playing in the water. Housing was comfortable. Kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with what we needed. Problem was finding the place. The address cannot be seen from the road because covered in vegetation. Also the communication with owner and with Vrbo was frustrating and for the most part nonexistent. We had such a great time that the problems now seem insignificant. "

"This home was very large and spacious for my family to stay for a wedding in the area. The beds were comfy and each room had a fan and air conditioning. It was easy for each of us to access the property with the door code so we didn't each need a key to get in. The host responded to my inquiries in a very timely manner. I would recommend staying at this property. "

"Nice place with plenty of room. The kitchen was clean and even had an air fryer and blender. The queen bed was a bit soft for my taste but that is a preference not a requirement. The local bakery, Bread of Life, had wonderful pastries and pasties. Joe checked in with us a couple times just to be sure everything was great. And it was. We were near plenty of great places to hike and enjoy the area. If we come back to this part of the UP, we will be checking here again. "
