The Park suite is a perfect romantic destination, ideal for a honeymoon or romantic anniversary weekend. . The queen size bed boasts an ultra comfortable mattress with host supplied linens. The living area offers a comfortable sofa, fireplace, a 40' flat screen TV, cable and nice sitting area. Pets are allowed with an additional fee, guests need to signify upon requesting booking that you will be bringing a pet.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, microwave and granite countertops. Kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, cooking utensils, wine glasses and champagne flutes. Complimentary coffee to get you started is provided.

Located in one of the most prestigious homes in the landmark historic district directly on Forsyth Park.


Built in 1870 for the city Treasurer John Williamson, the home is located directly on Forsyth Park next door to the Magnolia Hall Inn owned by the Savannah College of Art and Design and only steps away from the famed Forsyth Park fountain. Many shops, restaurants and cultural destinations are a short walk away. This is the ideal location for your visit to Savannah.

Parking is conveniently located right around the corner on Huntington Street.

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

Wonderful location! It was a short trip but loved this enchanting town! The owner was helpful and very accessible for any assistance and recommendations. I loved being right across from the park. The perfect town to park your car and explore in foot!

Communication with the host great!The little apartment we stayed in was right on Whitaker Street so we did have a bit a street noise. The mattress was not great. We both seemed to roll to the middle of the mattress. The electric fireplace had no where to plug it in. We had to pick up and move the fireplace to an outlet to plug it in. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. Very close to Forsyth Park. We loved that we could walk everywhere.

Ms. Deborah was so kind as we had to extend our stay twice because of the epic snowstorm in the Midwest! The house is beautiful and the location is perfect! I would gladly stay here again!

Can't beat the location. The unit was nice, clean and had everything we needed. We cooked dinner one night and ordered pizza the next. The bed was comfy and plenty of coffee. We will try to visit again if available. Definitely a favorite for us.

This place was absolutely perfect for the two of us and our pup! Directly across from Forsyth Park and close to all sights we were looking to see. The bed is very comfortable. If/when we return, I would definitely stay here again. Communication from the host was efficient. Highly recommend!

The property was welcoming to pets and the location is great. We were never able to sign into any of our streaming services even after following the directions. We left a message on the after hours 'chat' function but never received a response. We were mostly out and about so just forgot about it. The bed was comfortable and had drawers and closet space. It is a small English basement apartment so rather cool/damp and we had a few bugs. It could use a few upgrades and the bathroom painted.

Loved our stay in Savannah! The house was beautiful and the small suite was perfect for my husband and me and Lilly (dog) It’s across the street from the beautiful park where we had our coffee and let Lilly play around. We rode our bikes a lot but it’s also an easy walk to the river street area. Plus you can always catch a bus. Comfy bed with lovely sheets and pillows. The area is just gorgeous!

The property is right beside Forsyth park. That is right where we need to be. Also, we took a walking ghost tour, and we were able to walk back to the suite with no problem at night. I do recommend parking your vehicle beside 13 Secrets (a jewelry store right beside the suite). and taking Lyft, Uber or walk everywhere because parking downtown is expensive and limited. Very limited…. I would definitely stay at this suite again in the future.

Previously we stayed at the adjacent unit. It was far superior to this unit. Not going into details as it really not pertinent. As before the location is perfect. We loved the breakfast right across the square. Probably should note on vrbo that fountain wasnt here. Its not a perfect world and as my husband said im spoiled and have too high expectations.

The property was nice and private. Perfect location for access to the great activities in Savanah. The interior had a historic feel to it and a beautiful kitchen. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was not cooling for food or drinks but the manager was nice enough to get me ice and a foam cooler. I missed 2 days of my stay here due to a canceled flight. I plan on going back!!!

This cozy gem sits right across from Forsyth Park. The bed was comfortable and for being on a main street road noise was minimal. The bathroom is small but serves its purpose. All you need. Walkable to coffee, groceries, and attractions. Would stay again.

Lovely stay in Savannah!

My daughter and I enjoyed a weekend in Savannah at the Park Suite at Whitaker Mansion. The location was ideal, in a beautiful neighborhood at the garden level of one of the mansions overlooking Forsyth Park. The kitchen was updated and stocked with enough for us. The tv was new and the bed was very comfortable, Communication with the property manager was excellent. On the day of our arrival she called me to say that the lock was broken and the owner would be coming to replace it with a new one. We arrived when the owner was still installing the new lock (we didn’t mind!) and he was extremely friendly. The location for this rental is absolutely ideal and as two female travelers, we always felt safe. The only reason why I did not give it five stars is that parts of the unit did seem a little dirty, especially the bathroom. A new coat of paint and a couple of updated fixtures/accessories would change this unit from very nice to fabulous. I appreciate the charm of the furniture and decor since it fits the style of home. Would definitely stay here again!
