Guests seeking romantic solace in one of the most beautiful cities in the country need not look any further. The Park House has acquired this cozy one-bedroom carriage house for couples looking to get away from it all, while still being just a short walk to most of the city's best dining, shopping, and attractions.

Enter on street level next to a local boutique; the carriage is on the second floor of a historic, brick building. The living room is flooded with light, boasting tall ceilings and a handsome fireplace (now decorative) original to the home. Park your suitcases at the entry and relax in the clean, modern setting. Take a moment to appreciate Savannah's picturesque views. If you listen carefully enough, you're sure to hear a horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping past.

The fully equipped kitchen sits adjacent to the living area, with every cooking essential you'd need to whip up a meal, big or small. A breakfast nook for two faces the bay windows. The bedroom is just off the kitchen, with a Queen size bed and ample closet space to truly feel at home. Those traveling with littles will love the convenience of an in-home washer and dryer. The full bath is en suite to the bedroom, featuring a standing shower with soap and towels provided.

Walk a few steps South towards Forsyth Park, Savannah's largest green space frequented by local runners, dog-owners, and families. Head North towards the heart of downtown and enjoy walking through the squares of Bull Street; some of the city's most beautiful monuments. Rub shoulders with downtown residents at vegan cafe Fox & Fig for breakfast. Savannah stay

We got in on a Friday evening, parked, unloaded, walked to dinner and drinks, and did not drive again until we left Monday morning. The proximity to Forsyth park as well as River street was perfect. Size was perfect for the two of us. Clean. Bed was comfy. Highly recommend and we will definitely book here for our next trip to Savannah.

Well kept secret

Well kept secret in the heart of the historical section. Very comfortable and clean. Parking right outside. Highly recommended. Donā€™t miss out on taking a bike tour. We learned so much about Savannah. We will definitely be back!

Property was very clean and well maintained. Owner was very communicative throughout entire process. We loved being so close to Forsyth Park. Street parking was no problem. Our only complaint was late night street noise from people walking past windows being loud.

I loved this place! Such a great location on Bull street! It is so close to the Forsyth park and a fun safe walk to the River street area through several squares and tree lined streets!! I loved the high ceilings and the ā€œoldā€ feel to the apartment above the store! It had everything we needed! The bed was very firm and the pillows were flat, not a complaint but having a few different pillow and blanket options would be a nice touch!! We also appreciated the soaps and paper goods that were supplied! There was a small cleaning issue that will hopefully be taken care of b4 the next tenant but nothing that would keep me from coming back! I loved the apartment and the location!

All about location

Excellent property in a great place. The pictures are accurate. You will be a minute from Forsyth park and maybe 20 minutes from the river up Bull St. Fascinating walk either way. If you enjoy ice in a beverage on arrival, think ahead and get some on the way. No ice machine and the closest place we found with ice was CVS by the river. Otherwise will return to this place again.

Great location with some small nitpicks

We visited Savannah to see the old homes and historic district, and this location was fantastic. Basically across the street from the Mercer-Williams home as well as Forsyth Park, this was an amazing place to stay and walk through downtown Savannah and explore the many squares and incredible streets. Far enough away from the more touristy areas but still within walking distance of River street, it was a beautiful 15 minute ride to Bonaventure Cemetery when we decided to go. There were so many restaurants that were just a 10-15 minute walk. In addition to the perfect location, the apartment itself was very nice with just a few issues. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with gadgets. Everything was clean and it's an obviously historic building with tons of character. It was pretty quiet at night and the neighborhood seemed quite safe. My wife wasn't incredibly happy with the bathroom, which had very little space for my wife's things. There was plenty of wall space for shelves and hooks that could potentially be installed but she found it inconvenient to get ready due to having to shuffle things around a lot. It wasn't terrible but definitely something that can be improved. The only other thing that wasn't 5 star was the bed. The mattress - though clean - was well-used and the pillows were pretty flat. We usually bring our own pillows on trips but had forgotten this time and we were pretty sad that we had. It didn't ruin the trip or anything but was the weakest part. Overall we had a great time and were happy with the stay but the mattress/pillows were something to think about. We would stay again but will have to remember our own pillows at the very least. Again, the location is SPECTACULAR and well worth some minor issues.

A Quiet, Great Location Getaway

This location was ideal for us! We spend most of our time walking the historic streets of Savannah. The best part is the proximity to Forsyth Park, a welcome place to relieve any stress. Food stores and restaurants are a short walk from the front door. We would return to this location anytime I visit Savannah!

Okay, but could use some improvements

The property was just okay; it could use improvements. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee. There was a washer/dryer and dryer sheets, but no detergent. TV remotes seemed to be missing. There were remotes for streaming tv, but no remotes that had easy volume control (we had to manually adjust it.) There were no outlets easily accessible bedside, they were across the room. Also, the place would benefit from the addition of a table and mirror for fixing hair and applying makeup, as well as bedside tables on both sides of the bed. Visitors would also appreciate more niceties: more than one tissue box, more waste baskets, some written materials with suggestions for local restaurants and attractions, etc. With more attention to details such as these, the experience would be better. In all fairness, I didn't contact the mgt group due to our busy schedule and short length of stay; I would have under other circumstances.

Beautiful Area & Vibey Place

The place has so much charm. Everything was great, from walking into the unit next to the shop/in the charming brick building to the lovely walk down to the river. Loved passing through all the green spaces and squares while walking to restaurants, bars, etc. The features in the unit are relatively basic (not hating, was fine) but the vibe/style of this place is amazing. Exactly what it needed to be for our weekend getaway. Highly recommend!

We booked this property through vrbo then were told it was no longer available and offered comparable accommodations directly with the property management company (outside of vrbo). The new property lacked curb appeal and had construction work next door, but we liked it just fine. Would stay there again.

Communication with management was fantastic: timely, accurate, And they even answered my call at 10 PM on a Friday night. Location fantastic, great layout, tons of natural light, very comfortable bed. Our challenges were these: we could not get Wi-Fi unless we were standing next one particular window in the bedroom. Any movement away from the window and Wi-Fi stopped. No good directions for TV usage and very few options for watching any regular TV. Dish or Comcast are not options; you have to use your own app. As was noted by a review in early September, it would be great to have a dresser and chair in the bedroom instead of the large pouf. As also as noted over a month ago, the door that separates the laundry area from the bedroom is broken so it constantly swings open. Bathroom definitely needs some shelves as we were only able to put a few of our cosmetics, etc. in the medicine cabinet. Overall, a beautiful home but the place needs more attention to detail.
