Bright, Modern Carriage House off Crawford Square by Lucky Savannah

Nestled on the corner of Perry lane and tree-lined Houston Street, Located in Savannah's Landmark Historic District, this carriage house is located off of Crawford Square. The location of this property is one you cannot beat - Within walking distance to the River front, Savannah's Shopping District on Broughton Street, and many more venues!

Enter into the shared courtyard space off of Houston Street to gain access to your rental, and up a short-flight of stairs. Upon entering into the courtyard space you may be greeted by the neighbors friendly pup - Truly a "pet-friendly" property! Located upstairs, you will enter into the carriage house, into the kitchen packed with all of the modern amenities you could wish for. A full-size stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher have all been conveniently placed. The kitchen opens up to the main living space, that boasts with natural light on a sunny Savannah Day! A large sofa is situated across from the large Smart TV. Also located in the main living space you will find a small table for two, that can also be used as a workspace.

Semi-private to the living space, there is a divide between rooms that transition into the bedroom, where you can rest easy in a queen size bed. A full-size bathroom, with a large vanity, walk-in shower, and a stackable washer + dryer, is located just off of the bedroom!

What is Parking Like For This Home?
Parking for this home is on-street and metered, with enforcement by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or utilize a nearby public parking garage. Pre-paid visitor parking passes are available for purchase at the Parking and Mobility Services office. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

Not What We Hoped For

My husband and I planned this trip for our honeymoon and were rather disappointed with our stay. The pros of this location were strictly price and location. This stay was very close to River Street which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the carriage house left more to be desired. Upon arrival, you must pay for ALL parking in Savannah and hope you are tech savvy to use the app or meters. The gate codes were simple enough to enter but the gate itself was very heavy and difficult to push open. Once in our room we were greeted but dust bunnies littering the place from improper cleaning. The bed was rather uncomfortable and the sheets had sticky candy like spots in a few places. The bathroom space was roomy but the shower head was broken and tied up with a rope… Worst of all, the AC unit was configured to only go down to 70 degrees… in the Savannah HEAT… anddddd someone kept turning it back up to 74 while we were gone or sleeping. Finally, ALOT had changed in Savannah since our last visit years ago. The cleanliness of the city has gone way down and it no longer feels safe to walk around. We hate to say it but our honeymoon was a bust and we will NEVER be back to this historic town… much less recommend this rental to stay.

Great 2 week stay!

This is a great place! It is a private carriage house with an enclosed courtyard which is shared with the owner's main house. We were originally booked to stay for 10 days but extended it to two weeks because we were having such a lovely trip. I worked remotely for 5 days which I would not recommend as it is an open concept so there is no place to be in quiet virtual meetings (no door to shut). As with all cities, be aware of your surroundings and I recommend not walking alone at night even when other people are around (even early night, 6 pm).

Dirty and not well maintained

Based off reviews, we were hopeful for this rental. After navigating the app to access our door codes (which was clunky and inconvenient), we made it inside to find the place covered in dog hair- everywhere- and dog food still on the floor. Maybe the sheets had been changed, but thats where the cleaning stopped. Hair covered the rug and tile floor, not so much as a vacuum or broom had been run through the place. Tumbleweeds of hair littered the edges of the floor. We left the place at 9pm after a long day of travel for the cleaning people to come again and were told we would receive compensation for this- yet to be seen. By the time we got to shower, we found the shower head to be so loose someone before us had it propped up with rope. Clearly the issue was known, but no effort to make the showerhead usable other than by hand was taken by the host. The tiles throughout the place were lose and would move under your feet- clearly maintenance is not a priority either. The couch is falling apart and not comfortable and is the only spot to see the tv. Don't plan on watching tv in bed, because you can't. And I wouldnt count on relaxing on the long in the tooth couch. Location is quiet, other than the social service center nearby that caused us to have to take a detour home once due to screaming people. Tiny towels, skimpy amenities aside from the rest were annoying, but tolerable. There is potential here, but not without some cleaning effort and much needed repairs.

Great place to stay to explore Savannah! Quiet neighborhood with a square right across the street that’s perfect for walking fur babies. It is within a short walking distance to many of Savannah’s must see attractions. The property itself was very clean and nicely stocked with the necessities. Photos and description of property are spot on. Highly recommend!

25th Anniversary Trip

Accommodations are perfect for two people, great location, and a bargain compared to hotel prices downtown. You can walk to almost anywhere in Historic Savannah. Parking was very easy, with a local parking app, and relatively inexpensive. Great choices for dining. Strongly recommend breakfast at Clarey's; lunch at Green Truck Pub, and dinner at The Public Kitchen & Bar.

Getaway for In-laws

My in-laws loved this property and it’s location. It was a perfect gift to them for helping with the wedding, in addition to getting them away before the Christmas chaos. They came back renewed and refreshed and they truly loved their experience.

Perfect location

I was in Savannah for a work conference. The property is in an excellent location to walk to everything. I used Uber from the airport and walked to everything in Savannah. Within a short 15-minute walk of the property, you are on the historic River Street. My conference hotel was only 8 minutes away. The property appears recently renovated, clean, and well-kept. It was equipped with everything one might want in a kitchen including Kureig and standard coffee pot. Please stop and get yourself coffee fixings. They provide on pack of coffee, but the unit doesn't have sugar or any basic seasonings (salt or pepper). There are so many options for food nearby. I ate out for most meals. There is also a CVS within walking distance. You will slept well in the comfortable bed. There is a big bathroom with walk in shower. They even thought to include an umbrella. It's a great unit, and the rental staff was helpful with questions.

Great Getaway in Savannah

Our time at this property was wonderful. It is in a quieter section of Savannah, which we loved for our family. It felt safe and away from crowds. It is located right next to Crawford Square which is a lovely square, and an easy place for us to walk our dog. The square has a basketball court that our son loved - we bought him a basketball and he played out there twice a day. The studio was extremely clean and very nice. One thing we noticed was the pull out couch wasn't the most comfortable for sitting on, probably from overuse of visitors; the cushions didn't really stay in place very well. The shower curtain was the only thing we noticed that didn't look overly clean. While it was fine and the shower is large enough it really is used as more of a barrier, it was definitely older with mildew stains like all shower curtains can get. The shower itself was spotless, as was all other parts of the suite. For our family of four plus the dog it worked well; sort of like an extra large hotel room with many more amenities including the kitchen area. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners on multiple occasions who live in the house in front of the suite, and they were very kind. They also gave us lots of information about Savannah and some pro tips, including favorite places to eat. We were also impressed with the attentiveness of Lucky Savannah, the property managers. They were easy to get ahold of at any time and were very friendly. Our family would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect getaway
