Coastal Chic Apartment on Forsyth Park with Parking by Lucky Savannah

Up to Four Lucky travelers will feel at home in this ground level apartment, just a stone's throw away from Forsyth Park. The Lynwood Collection on Forsyth is located on Historic Gaston Street and has been renovated top-to-bottom. Coastal decor ties the space together and creates an inviting space for guests to relax. Enjoy morning or evening strolls beneath the Spanish moss trees, and start your adventure discovering all Savannah has to offer.

Entering on the ground floor, you will be provided a secure key code unique to your stay, that ensures safe entry as you check in to your home away from home. Nestle into your coastal digs by gathering together in the living space fitted with a flat screen TV. Guests are welcome to access their streaming favorites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.

The kitchen is open to the living space, perfect for entertaining your guests. This quaint space offers stainless steel appliances, and is fitted to prepare a home cooked meal. Just down the hall, you'll find the king-size bedroom that features a private patio, great for an intimate meal or reading a book. Curl up into bed after a long day of exploring the town, and catch up on your favorite shows on the flatscreen television. You can also find the bathroom that features a spacious vanity, walk-in shower and a stack-able washer and dryer.

In the morning, we recommend taking a short stroll across Forsyth Park to The Sentient Bean for a latte or refreshing iced coffee. For lunch, pop over to Bull Street Taco and explore their unique twist on tacos. As you wander around town, stroll through the Squares of Savannah, enriched in history. For dinner, head north downtown, where there's none better than The Grey, a Southern fine dining experience retrofitted inside an old Greyhound Bus Station. After a day out, relax in the park and listen to the sound of the Forsyth fountain.

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. The location was great and the parking spot was a big plus. Although the parking spot was a bit tricky to get into in the back. It’s a small apartment but fine for the two of us. There was a very slow drain in the bathroom sink. Other than that, everything worked well. I’m glad I brought my hairdryer because there wasn’t one available there so note that for future Stays. Also there is not a full length mirror. We felt very safe and enjoyed our stay there. You can walk too many different things, shopping, stores, attractions and squares from that location. It was a cute place. I would recommend it for a couple.
The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of pillows.
Love that it had a fireplace that makes it unique to the old South Savannah.
Didn’t use the kitchen much however I was happy to use the Britta picture that was in the refrigerator.

Enjoyed our weekend getaway at this apartment near Forsyth Park. Prior to arrival the hosts were quick to respond to a couple silly questions I had that I could have answered myself, but I didn't read thoroughly. The listing was accurate upon arrival and we enjoyed being in a peaceful part of the city away from the late night crowd near the river. I didn't fully read the check in instructions so we had to circle the block to figure out how to get into the parking lot, but once we did the car stayed put. Be prepared to parallel park (wouldn't recommend a large vehicle). Access out the back door was nice for unloading and loading up. We walked to Forsyth Park to the Farmers Market and Clary's for breakfast which were both very close. Later we walked to dinner closer to the river which is a longer walk, but such a great way to see the city up close. Overall a great stay!

Perfect for St. Patrick’s day

Right on the parade route. Right next to beautiful Forsythe Park. Walking distance to anywhere in the historic district. The fact that it came with a parking spot made it even more perfect. Kitchen is very small but wasn’t a problem for us. Would stay there again.

It is almost like the pictures. It is in a good location but the outside of the building does not look like the pictures. There was not a working light outside and there are not chairs outside the bedroom patio door. Rather, that area is very run down and next to a larger building that has a light that shines into the bedroom at.night. The location is fabulous next to Forsythe Park but the property itself is not entirely like what is pictured when you book.

The property itself was just okay and I would not recommend to others because of the parking, the bathroom was less than okay and needs to be redone. It was very old and moldy smelling. The living room was updated but they had no coffee or tea which every air b n b has. I was disappointed in the property.

My visit to Savannah

From the moment I arrived I had the most amazing experience. First and foremost, this VRBO was in a fantastic location! Forsyth park was 1 block away, and they hosted Jazz Fest the weekend that I was there - which was an added bonus! The accommodations were everything that I needed or expected. It was very clean, and I had great communication with the host. I can’t wait to visit again ~

Repeat Stay

We stayed at this apartment last year to move our daughter into her SCAD dorm and liked it so much that we booked it again this year. It has new and modern furnishings and everything was very clean. The AC keeps the apartment cool and the water in the shower is nice and hot. Having a clothes washer and dryer is nice bonus. And, the proximity to Forsyth Park, the quiet neighborhood, and restaurants within walking distance are ideal. The designated parking spot make the stay easier too. This stay we had a couple of small issues that were quickly resolved by the management. Overall very happy and will book again next year if available.

Historic Savannah

We were very happy with the location just off Forsythe Park walking distance to all of Historic Savannah. We didn't cook but there was enough cookware and dishes, but only one wine glass. it's a good thing my husband was abstaining!! The shower didn't have much pressure but lots of hot water. My only complaint was that the curtains in the bedroom need to be heavier, the light from SCAD next door shone right in our eyes.

AWESOME!!!

The place was clean, and very cute and tiny! Plenty of space for us. Location was awesome. We walked everywhere. Easy to find and loved that we had a parking space as we did not need to use our car at all due to where it was located. Felt very safe! We will definitely go back and stay there again!

Perfect Get Away

Historic district

The apartment was smaller than expected but still plenty of room for the two of us. I would add dark out curtains in the bedroom since the parking lot at the school has a very bright light on every night. The parking is not great when there are a lot of people, especially since the one tenant pulls too far forward. The shower floor is not great on the feet and the shower head sucks but youre in the city so not surprised by that.

Cute and clean with assigned parking

The apartment was bright and cheerful with nice furnishings. Looks like it was recently renovated. Plenty of room for two people but can easily accommodate 1 to 2 more. It was great to have an assigned parking space so that we could avoid paid parking on the surrounding streets. Location was amazing! Arriving in Savannah on HWY 16, we literally exited onto E Gaston St and drove a few blocks to the apartment. Forsythe Park is just a few steps away and restaurants in the historic district are within easy walking distance. The neighborhood is lively with people headed to the park but it was never noisy. Another reviewer complained about a cigarette smoke odor. Honestly, it was only slightly noticeable and only occasionally in the bathroom when the vent fan was running. It is probably coming from the next door apartment or upstairs. We had an issue with someone parking in our assigned space on our last night. I called the property manager and she immediately found a vacant space for us in the same parking lot. We will be visiting our daughter (attending SCAD) often over the next 4 years and plan to stay at this apartment whenever available.

Wasn’t terrible, but not as expected.

The entire unit smelled like cigarette smoke. In fact, all of our luggage and clothes reek of it now. The bed was very stiff. The shower temp was scalding hot and only temp available. The water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent. We were very uncomfortable and will not visit this unit again, unfortunately.

Great location…

This area was walkable and close to downtown. Great place to stay!!! You get the quaint neighborhood and a stone throw away from downtown with the excitement. Prefect balance for a vacation.
