Adorable Cottage 2 Blocks From Forsyth Park - B

Summary:
This is a late 1800's Victorian home - we have kept some of the original features, such as the doors/trim, hardwood floors and some fixtures. It has been updated/renovated to adjust to the times, giving you everything you need to call this space home!

***This is one side of a duplex - message me about renting the entire duplex - 5 Bedrooms (10 People)***

The Space:
FREE Wifi
Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc.
Has kitchen essentials - coffee maker, grinder, toaster, microwave. All utensils included in drawers and cabinets.

Guest Access:
PARKING IS EASY! Just pull right up in front of the house and park. Be sure to check the street signs for information on which side of the street to park on for which night as there are street sweepers.

There is a comfortable and private backyard area with table and chairs.

The Neighborhood:
Just a few blocks away from Forsyth park - about a 2 minute walk. Great coffee/breakfast spots right there at your fingertips.

Getting Around:
Aside from being only blocks away from the historically famous Forsyth Park, you can make it downtown near Broughton St./City Market in about 15 minutes walking. Typically less than a $5 Uber ride.

Other Things to Note:
We have a 2 dog maximum, no cats. The one-time pet fee for one dog is $100, and $150 for 2.

Interaction with Guests:
We live in town - so if you need anything during reasonable hours, feel free to call or text.

The cottage was in a great location and we walked everywhere! The enclosed backyard was a great spot for our dog to sit and explore! The kitchen was stocked and ready for some cooking!Here are some concerns- the refrigerator was so noisy that we needed wear the ear plugs provided and don't do a wash when you are sleeping- it sounded like you were washing a few bowling balls!The couch in the living area smelled like urine- it was unusable most of the stay. (Day 2 they offered to shampoo the couch but that meant it needed to dry for a day- so we'd have 1 day to sit on the couch.)The host only gave an apology when we explained the unusable couch- in fact there was a complaint about the couch 6 months ago and it appeared nothing was done about it!Any time we had a question the host had to contact someone with the answers. Simple questions like where are the extra blankets and why doesn't the tv work.There are plenty of places to stay- avoid this one!

Great communications from the host throughout the process. The property was exactly as advertised - cozy and welcoming. The location was very convenient a couple of blocks away from Forsythe park and about a mile away from the busy North Historic district. Great stay and recommended. If ever back in Savannah again, we would choose this property for a repeat visit.If you are from a non-city environment as we are, you should prepare for the sights and sounds of the city so you are calibrated appropriately in your expectations. Nothing terrible, just being in close proximity to others and a lively city means there is noise to contend with.

The cottage was perfect for my son & I to spend some quality time together. Many restaurants within walking distance, close to the trolley, great place for my old dog. You can look down the street on either side and enjoy the beautiful fall foilage. Perfect outdoor area to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail with snacks. Comfy beds and great kitchen.

Had an AMAZING stay! This is one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in! The property is super clean, comfy beds with good pillows, and they even supplied the good toilet paper. It’s in the perfect part of town where you are close to everything but not directly in the center of chaos. It was also big dog friendly which is very hard to find these days! I will 100% be staying here any time we are in Savannah

Great Weekend in Savannah

The house is cozy and in the right area. Overall it was perfect for the three of us. We loved the proximity to the beach and the waterfront entertainment but the quietness of the neighborhood.

Stay was great! Slept like a baby. Back yard is super cute and love that it’s fenced. Convenient to the park (farmers market on Saturday) and a short drive to “downtown.” Will definitely stay here again.

Fab Savannah Stay

This 2-bedroom cottage was conveniently located walking distance for Forsyth park. Great for our family of 3 and dog. Loved the backyard patio to sit and have coffee. Quiet and had everything we needed for a quick weekend stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Communication was excellent. The property is conveniently located, parking is easy (watch out for street sweeper nights). property was equipped with everything we needed. Book of recommendations was excellent. Vinny van Go Go's pizza is a must have.

RUN, Don't walk!!! DON'T STAY THERE - YOU COULD BE CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY ALTERNATE PLACE TO STAY.

We were cancelled 22 hours before check-in even though we were in communication with Chase Stahl two days prior. And he gave us no indication of any issues.The hosts blamed the agency for the error saying they were unsure how we were able to book "those dates". But they personally confirmed those dates when we booked. We saved that email!! At the end, without any regard for our travel plans etc. they said " hope you give us another chance." FAT CHANCE! They didn't offer any alternatives - just an oops and you're own your own - sorry!! Mistakes happen - it's how you fix them that counts and Chase and Brandon failed miserably. So whatever those "hosts" claim, take it with an entire SHAKER of salt. Find another place. In the interest of fairness and honesty, we have no idea of the cleanliness of the property or any physical characteristics of the unit since we were never able to enjoy it. We only marked those categories because they were required by the website if we wished to post. Place may be lovely, we will never find out!
