Summary:
Our quaint little eclectic garden unit is the most welcoming and relaxing getaway you'll find on Jones Street. Take a soothing stroll down the most beautiful street in America to all of the bars, restaurants and shops that Savannah has to offer. One block from Savannah's famous Mrs. Wilkes and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor. If you're looking for a quiet place to retreat after a long day out, look no further.

The Space:
The tastefully decorated front garden unit is exceptionally spacious. In addition to the queen bedroom, we offer a sizable living room with a pull-out couch, smart TV and dining bar for two. We have a large island/bar in the kitchen to make cooking or drink prepping a breeze! We have a coffee maker, microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator, toaster and all of the utensils you need for basic cooking.

Guest Access:
You have the entire apartment to yourself! You will have your own private entrance, we will send the access information 48 hours before your check in date.

The Neighborhood:
This original cobblestone street really is the absolute prettiest in all of Savannah. We have had several movie scenes and dozens of wedding photos shot here. We are just half a block from Mrs. WIlkes and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor.

Getting Around:
This is a prime location in the heart of downtown so walking is extremely convenient. For those who are less prone to walking, it's just a few dollars to get around via Uber/Lyft. Additionally, we are about 30 minutes to Tybee Island.

Interaction with Guests:
I am always available via mobile, just message me through Airbnb and if you need immediate assistance, just call me! If you have any emergencies of course, dial 911 first.

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

This was a perfect stay in Savannah. The location was great. Jones Street is the prettiest street in Savannah. The place was perfect and has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The bottle of wine was a very nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Cute little rental on the beautiful Jones st and in walking distance to everything. The only negative was the bed. It dipped in the middle making it hard for 2 people to sleep comfortably. We absolutely loved everything else about it!

Perfect for a weekend getaway!

My wife and I were in town for the weekend for a wedding. This place was perfect for the 2 of us. Super easy check in/out and great communication from the owner. Location was great as well. Will definitely book again if we are ever back in the area.

our temporary home in Savannah was exactly as advertised. The interior was lovely and spic and span. The location was ideal for roaming the city.As a happy surprise, there is a small gated closet off the front door which is perfect for storing our two bikes. We used it often.It's something that might matter for some future renters, the unit is on the lowest floor and has only four windows. Three other windows open onto a tall wall. That means the place doesn't have a lot of natural light.That said, we loved it and would like to use it again on a future trip to Savannah.

Perfect Location

Cozy one BR with all the amenities in the perfect location. I parked my car and didn't have to drive again all weekend. Everything you need is in this quaint historic apartment. A little heavy stepping from upstairs but not so much late at night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend for a single or couple. The property managers, Chase and Brandon, were very responsive to all my inquiries and very helpful overall.

Finally! Savannah

The apartment is lovely as in the pictures and located on a beautiful and conveniently located street close to some fun shops restaurant and the park. Communication with managers was quick and easy. We were there during Hurricane Helene the bedroom is tucked In the back corner of the apartment so we didn't hear a thing. We loved Savannah.

Perfect for Two

This place was perfect for my wife and I on our three day get away to see the sights of Savannah. The apartment appeared recently upgraded and very stylishly decorated and clean. The space was actually bigger than we imagined. The location on Jones Street was ideal as it’s close to all historic sites and museums and a 15 minute walk to the river. Many restaurants were within walking distance as well. The off street parking with this unit was much appreciated as we didn’t use our car at all during our stay. We definitely recommend this place!

A perfect getaway

This property was beautiful and clean. Quite honestly, I would LOVE to live here... definitely one of the best vacation rentals I have stayed at. It was a perfect distance from downtown and there were still plenty of restaurants, bars, and activities to do within walking distance (thank you to the hosts for the booklet of recommendations). Parking was always accessible, the property managers were consistently available and quick to respond, and I felt safe in the area as a solo traveler. The check-in and check-out procedure was super easy. Neighbors were respectful of quiet hours and the street itself was quiet at night. The hosts did a great job of making sure the apartment had all of the essentials that a traveler would need. I would definitely stay with this company again! You can't go wrong with this place!

WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this property! The rental was the perfect size for two people. It was equipped with everything we needed including a washer and dryer. The onsite parking was a challenge for us because of our large truck. A medium size vehicle would have fit comfortably. However, we never had a problem finding street parking nearby. The location is quiet since the property is located at the west end of Jones Street. The vehicle traffic and foot traffic were minimal. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Savannah!

Great but not noiseless

This apartment was great - really close to everything, easy parking and the space inside was really nice. But the bed made noise every time someone moved on it and the toilet ran every so often even when not being used. Overall it’s a great place despite the noisy features.

It needs to be refreshed and updated for the price they are charging. The shower curtain was moldy

The bed and sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable. We were 2 women friends traveling together. We would of like a nice comfy beds, after a long day of exploring. Had a back ache the whole time. Time to update and refresh the place. Shower curtain needs to be replaced. You can definitely hear the neighbors upstairs walking around. We loved the location, but were disappointed in our accommodations.

Wonderful Location

The property was a on a beautiful, quiet street in the historic district, and could not have been in a better location. We did not move the car the entire time, and walked everywhere. The communication with the host was excellent. Parking is not included with this unit on the weekends, but street parking was free on the weekend, so it worked out. The only negatives were when I went to use the pull-out sofa, there was food on it which showed it had not been cleaned (but I told the host and they responded promptly), and also no linens on the pull-out sofa. Other than the pull-out sofa, the unit was very clean. Also, it being the ground level of an old house, you could hear people in the above unit. That's wasn't a big deal, but worth mentioning, as it comes with staying in a historic building. We very much enjoyed the stay, and would absolutely stay here again! Again, communication with host was excellent and we could not have asked for a better location. It was a great stay and I would definitely recommend.

Really beautiful area, great stay

This is a really quaint apartment on a beautiful street in a great location... walking distance to almost anything you need. The apartment itself is clean and well appointed. The coffee maker is a drip, and the hosts provide coffee, sugar, and filters. The fridge is large and I had everything I needed while there. The area is quiet and safe. I would definitely stay here again, but would recommend parties of 2 or less because it's cozy

Savannah with style

What a wonderful hidden gem! The pictures don't do it justice. Nicely decorated with antiques and great art. Located within easy access to everything. Closest to Forsyth park and The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Several days I walked downtown and back. Lots of tours and even an afternoon during the week at Tybee Island. Favorite restaurant was Alligator Soul. If you can't get a reservation, no worries just sit at their large bar. Also ha a great dinner at at Vic's on the river.

Small but nice space in great location. Walkable to Riverfront and City Market. Apartment is in lower level so it had a little “basementy” feeling. Communication with owner was great.

PERFECT QUAINT LOCATION

Amazing property on a historical street within walking distance of all the sights and restaurants. Dry clean with everything needed- so nice to have a washer and dryer. Owner was very organized with easy check in and out. Would highly recommend.

Savannah’s finest gem

This property is located on a beautiful, well known street in downtown Savannah. Off the beaten path to provide quaint, romantic charm. But close enough to walk to everything! Property is beautifully decorated and clean. Wonderful communication before, during, and post trip. Definitely a gem! And we plan to return. Thank you!!
