North Georgia Roots - Pristine Mountain Vacation Home

Feel the serenity and comfort as soon as the door opens to this pristine luxury mountain vacation home. The attention to detail and interior design is absolutely fabulous. As an extra bonus, a complimentary bottle of local wine awaits you on the dining table.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and how! Not only are there the full size stove, oven and refrigerator, but also a microwave, blender, toaster, sandwich grill, crock pot, electric hand mixer, Kitchen Aid mixer, electric can opener, food processor, and cast iron dutch oven. Lest we forget the combination Keurig and drip coffee maker! The cupboards are filled with dinnerware and cookware and the drawers are loaded with utensils and flatware.

The living room features lovely comfortable furniture: a love seat, sofa and chair. The sofa converts into a bed making room for two more guest. The large flat screen television is mounted just above the intricately hand carved wood mantel piece. With the gas fireplace, this is the perfect place to cozy up and enjoy a favorite sport or movie available on YouTube TV. There is free WiFi, too.

Open the French doors and walk out to the back deck surrounded by woods and mountain nature. There is a gas grill, full propane tank included, for those dinners planned on the "barbie". Choose where you want to dine: inside around the dining table or out on the screened porch, furnished with a large table and six chairs.

Turn up the jets and climb into the hot tub for an evening of sweet repose and true relaxation. The home is surrounded by woods and filled with the sound of birds, frogs, crickets and owls! On the cooler nights, guests enjoy the outdoor fire pit landscaped with small river rock and surrounded by Adirondack chairs.

Each bedroom is equipped with it's own private bath. With lots of closet space, it's time to unpack and settle in. There are hairdryers in each bathroom. The master bathroom has two comfortable terry cloth robes for guests to use. Just beyond the master bath is a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron. Remember to bring laundry detergent!

It was OKAY

The house had a musty, almost mildew smell the whole time. The hand wash soap in bathroom bathrooms was watered down and almost empty. The beds were comfortable and the decor was pretty.

Great Getaway

We were in Helen for a baseball tournament. It was nice having the cabin to get away between games and after the tournament was over.We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back again next time we head toward Helen.

Great weekend stay

Our stay was great and everything was very clean! Check-in and check-out was easy and the property is in a great and private location. The hot tub was amazing and very clean. I do wish the house would have had some more basics like condiments, coffee and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The beds are not the most comfortable in the world and could use a mattress topper. The local bottle of wine and robes were a nice touch and appreciated. Overall we would stay here again.

Get away not far away

North Georgia Roots is a comfortable, clean getaway which is secluded, but not far away from stores and attractions. The home itself is well-maintained with nice amenities. The guidebook is great for not only local fare, but also items in the home that might need instructions. Out in nature, but paved throughout made the drive easy. If you're looking for a quiet spot that still has access to shops and sites...this is the place.

The cabin was as advertised and no surprises. I prefer firm mattress, so the soft mattresses were not my favorite. Overall it was a great place for a weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed the hot tube. the only thing we didn't care for were the spider webs coming down the front porch that went from tree to from banister. But that was the only thing the rest was great.

Couldnā€™t have been any better!!

We loved every aspect of North Georgia Roots. It was very close to Helen. With three girls the set up was perfect. We especially enjoyed the hot tub at night. We would have loved the fire-pit, but it rained so we played Uno in the screened in porch and watched Netflix instead. We even saw a deer our first morning during our coffee. It was so clean and decorated adorably. Would highly recommend for anyone!

Great place!

Great place in the woods that still had comforts of home. Close enough to helen and Cleveland to do the toruist stuff, but off the beaten path enough to feel rustic and secluded. Hot tube was great, AC worked wonderfully and fire pit was a nice bonus. Would live to come to property again in the future!

Very Nice Stay

We've stayed in and around Helen on several occasions. This was a very nice little rental for me and my two kids. The property is private enough to feel secluded, but close enough to society where you don't worry about an emergency response time, and you're a quick highway shot to pretty much everything you want to do in the area. Not a gravel road to take a toll on my old car in sight. The house was cleaned immaculately. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was great. We had had an issue with the hot tub cover and they sent someone over immediately to help us out and he was very friendly. The kitchen is pretty small, so don't plan on doing any gourmet cooking unless you're a grill master (I am not). Beautiful master bathroom. We had the distinct feeling that we were welcome, and that the enjoyment of our stay was important to property management and owners.

The place was very clean and as represented. The property managers responded quickly when i couldnt figure out how to work the heating control. The only complaint was the beds were not comfortable. I would still stay again as cleanliness means the most to me.

Amazing experience, highly recommend!

Great communication, was contacted the day prior to my check-in to ensure I had received the access code and to see if I had any questions about the upcoming visit. The propane on the gas grill ran out 5 minutes after I started grilling and they had someone bringing out a new propane tank within 30 minutes, even on a Friday night at 7pm!
