La Quercia-Erica - One Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 5

This beautiful villa is part of a large 2000m2 park situated on the crest of a hill near a chestnut forest in the village of Valcanina Sassetta. The park contains many species of plants and is classified as a botanical garden. The house is situated at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and is only 800 meters from the village of Sassetta where you will find everything you need such as a mini-supermarket, restaurants and coffee bars. The sea and beach of Marina di Castagneto is 12 km away and helps make this area an ideal destination for a complete and relaxing holiday. This recently renovated house is luxurious and comfortable and has been divided into three apartments - a large apartment on the first floor and two spacious apartments on the ground floor. The floors are bright, like the lining of the kitchens and bathrooms and all apartments have a friendly and fresh authentic appearance. Guests can use the large swimming pool which is also available for guests of the adjacent villa. From all apartments you have a beautiful view of the “Pian delle Vigne” valley and the surrounding villages. The apartments on the ground floor can be connected by way of a door, so if you have a large family or are vacationing with a larger group, these are ideal. There is ample private parking available.

This apartment is located on the ground floor and has an area of about 50m². It can accommodate 3 to 5 persons. The entrance is through the garden. In the garden you'll find a large table with chairs for six, a big gazebo, a barbecue and an outdoor shower. The living room has a double bed sofa and a table with six chairs. The kitchen (corner unit) is fully equipped including a gas hob, electric oven, refrigerator, Italian and Dutch coffeemakers, a dishwasher and washing machine. There is one bedroom furnished with a double bed and a single bed. The bathroom has a shower, bidet, toilet and hairdryer. In the living room there is a door which connects it to the Fresia apartment. The apartment is comfortably furnished and has central heating and a TV with satellite connection. This house is also suitable for wheelchair users.

This home is situated amidst a beautiful environment which is renowned for its mild climate, beauty, history, poetry and famous wine. You will find numerous vineyards serving local dishes along with their fine wines. Examples of wines in the region: DOC Bolgheri, DOC Montescudaio, DOC Val di Cornia and DOC and ELBA. You also have plenty of choice when it comes to hiking, cycling and mountain bike trails or you can visit nature reserves (L'Oasi di Bolgheri) or archaeological sites in the area. There are even beautiful beaches with really clear seas which are ideal for swimming, windsurfing and a variety of other water sports. In Baratti and San Vincenzo you will find diving schools. You can take excursions to famous cities like Florence, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Mssima Marittima, Perugia and Assisi. Elba Island is located 45 km away and is accessible by ferry, so you can bring your car. There are several stables that offer horseback riding. Children will also find plenty of opportunity to enjoy themselves, for example at the water park in Cecina or the adventure park of Il Cavallino Matto in Castagneto Carducci.
Every Sunday morning at 11:00, beginning from June the 8th, the owner organize guided tours in the botanical garden“La Soldanella". The tours last approximately one hour, depending on the season and which plants and flowers are in bloom and are free of charge.

The price includes:

Not included in the price:
- A refundable security deposit is required per flat.- Heating is available upon prior request and is charged hourly, with rates varying depending on the flat.- A tourist tax applies per person per night from 1 May to 15 September. Children under 12 years of age, disabled guests, and their accompanying guides are exempt from this tax.

Mandatory Door-to-Door Waste Collection:
In the event of waste accumulation at check-out, a deduction of €50 will be made from the deposit.

Smoking policy:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Villa. Should this policy be violated, the deposit will be retained to cover the cost of cleaning the curtains, blankets, bedspreads, and pillow covers.
