"This property is perfect for those of us who want slightly more than a local hotel offers (privacy, kitchen, pets, outdoor space, etc). After reading the reviews, my wife and I booked 2 nights with our small dog over the 4th of July weekend 2025. Everything was great and the price was very reasonable. The king bed is comfortable. "Nice stay. Live the town and wish we would have booked longer. 5 stars for us but…Be aware of the thin walls and if your neighbor is cooking you will smell it. Also, the lack of a curtain on the back side of the sleeping area means that the skylight wakes you as soon as the sun is around. And the bed was not a standard queen size, felt very small and we are not big people. "

"This place felt bigger than the photos, so props for that! We didn't feel as if we were bumping into each other the entire stay; ample room in this listing. The hot tub was great, the grill was great, lots of great kitchen amenities included. All instructions were easy for check-in and out, the town is Salida is close enough and easy to get to. Great spot for a weekend getaway with friends!"

"Beautiful home with lots of charm and everything we needed. Very clean and updated. Not far from restaurants (5-10 minutes drive) and 30 minutes from Monarch Mountain. Sleeps 4 comfortably! We will be back!"

"The property was clean, neat. and roomy. It had everything, and then some, needed to cook and be comfortable. It is an older house with some history right on a bike path in between Salida and Poncha Springs. It was very easy to get to either town. The owners wrote a brief synopsis of the house, but I would love to know more. We think that it still must be in the original family and we're curious as to who Angie was?"
