All About the Property Manager
The stay would have been a lot more disappointing without the diligent work of Melina. We had booked a lovely unit for four of us...clean, cute with a lovely-looking pool. We had travelled all day from Nicaragua by local buses and faced a bridge failure and a tropical downpour. We were hot and tired. We got into the Coco Beach area and contacted Melina from a restaurant called Santorini (they let us use their wifi and then served us a most excellent meal). She picked us up well after our check-in time (which I didn't realize was 6:00pm) and brought us to the unit we booked. We were so relieved for the air-conditioning and the thought of having a shower. Once Melina left, we began to unpack, but then discovered there was no water for the toilets or the shower! We were a bit crushed. I texted Melina and told her we could not live without water after the day we had and she came back to get us and put us in another unit. She set up the beds and we made sure there was water. This suite, unfortunately, was not as cute and clean as the one we had originally booked and I would look to VRBO to ensure we are not charged the same rate for this substitute.Melina was very responsive, knowledgeable about the area and keen to ensure a positive experience. We stayed two nights and she drove us to the airport very early to catch our 7:00am flight. So, this stay was really about the property manager and not at all about the accommodation.
