"I had a generally good stay at Sirius in Pamukkale. The room was very spacious, with both a double and a single bed, even though I was traveling alone. The hotel also has a generous outdoor area, a pleasant terrace, and a beautiful swimming pool, although it was too cold for me to use it.
The location is convenient for visiting the travertines, with an entrance about a 15-minute walk away and places to eat nearby. However, be prepared for a fairly steep uphill walk. It is also worth checking the entrance closing times and exit arrangements before your visit. When I finished exploring, the gate closest to the hotel was closed, so I had to leave through the south exit and take a taxi back. The longer route cost me 400 Turkish lira.
The main area for improvement is reception and guest assistance. The receptionist spoke limited English, which sometimes made communication difficult. More concerning was my departure for a hot-air balloon ride at around 4 a.m. It was dark, I could not open the heavy iron gate, and there was nobody at reception. After searching for help and knocking on a room door, someone eventually came out and opened it for me. He said it was unlocked, but I had been unable to move it myself. Fortunately, my pickup was delayed, so I did not miss the excursion, but it was a stressful experience.
Overall, the spacious room, pleasant facilities, and convenient location made this a good stay. More reliable reception support and clear instructions for leaving early"
