"I was a huge fan of Brookmere and I will go back. However, I was quite sad to see every trip resulted in more issues than the last. I suspect the hotel is very thinly staffed because the issues stemmed from lack of care rather than poor facilities. e.g. Housekeeping would clean the bathroom but leave all the hair on the floor, repeatedly. "This is a quaint comfortable, clean and pleasant place. The bed is incredible. The breakfast is beyond wonderful. The family running this place is so pleasant. I very much enjoyed my time there."

"Smack-dab in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs. Ta-da! Park your car and you are within steps/short-walk to restaurants, nightlife, Congress Park, shopping, etc.; the location can't be beat. I must say however, I miss the pool that used to occupy the center space inside the building the last time I visited the Saratoga Downtowner (former name of hotel) which was years ago. I came last week and brought my swim trunks and was disappointed to learn of the pool's demise only to be replaced...
