Nicholas, We truly do apologize about the Sauna not functioning during your stay. We did not enjoy that process either as it took a month to get the parts in which we had no control over. We did issue you a $100 discount for this amenity not working. Other than that we are excited that you still had a great time while staying with us!

Thanks for staying with us and for the feedback, Adam! I wish we could fix the weather and get Western NC better internet than satellite, it would certainly be cool! We describe the one mile gravel road, but new places at night in the mountains can certainly feel longer than they are, so it's a great thing to highlight even more for folks who may arrive after dark, thank you :)

We've got some 10 year lifespan new detectors, and just added a new Carbon Monoxide alarm in the kitchen, so we won't have to worry about those 9 volt batteries going bad. You rock for traveling with a spare, that's a great travel trick! Also, we just installed a second satellite for an extra Wifi network, and using a different company, so we'll have two different providers, since Hughesnet was having so much system-wide slowdowns lately; so if you come back, you'll find some great wifi improvement.
