6/10 - Ok

Santa Fe is expensive. This property is a perfectly fine budget choice, but like most properties, I think the rating is inflated. As long as you know what you are getting and are OK with it, it will be fine. There are beautiful wood ceilings throughout, which we really enjoyed - this was one of the home's best features. It was very clean throughout. The location is OK but a bit out of the way - you will likely have longer drives than if you stay in the Railyard area, for instance. The bathroom is very nice. So is the kitchen - it had most of the things we needed to prepare simple meals, yet there were only a couple forks and the kitchen knives were so dull they were almost unusable. The beds and pillows are hard - I slept OK in that little trundle bed, because I had to, but I was really happy to move on to a better bed. The living room photo in the ad is accurate EXCEPT for the brightness - the room is comfy but very dark, not light like in the photo. Also, the outdoor table (which we used constantly) had uncomfortable metal folding chairs (the kind you use with a folding card table), which was disappointing. Window coverings are sub-par, and include shabby blinds in the sun room, with many missing and broken slats. Finally, I thought the rental agreement was unreasonable and there was too much communication from too many different senders.
